If they're asking people to pay specifically to come to their wedding, that's tacky. However, stag and does are really common in my neck of the woods, and generally it's a party with a $5 or $10 admission fee to support the bride and groom.

They're common in rural ontario, too, but are more often called stag and does. May through July is stag and doe season, and my friends and I will go to as many as we can to support the couples and have some great nights!

well, personally i think everyones over reacting. its called ACTING. sorry, but just because she hasnt played an aggresive, mean role yet doesnt mean she is incapable of doing so. If she hadn't first been on Disney, not even half as many people would oppose. In my opinion she looks like Leah. I know thats MY opinion but no actor in the movie fit how everyone invisioned them. Like Edward. Many people were mad at first, but now almost everyones saying he was great. And a lot of comments on here are saying shes too "weak" to play leah. well... Taylor Lautner doesnt exactly fit Jacob for strength, but hes great. And hes working out hard-core. I'm pretty sure Vanessa Hudgens can do the same.
and if you really, strongly oppose Vanessa Hudgens being in 5 minuets of the movie, dont not go see it because of those 5 minuets! I mean, take a bathroom break or something! go buy some food then come back when the 5 minuets are over. so see? works out for everyone. if you hate her in the movie and during the movie you really want some nachos or something you can be like "oh god! i need some nachos!! ....but i dont want to miss any of the movie... Oh look! ewww vanessa hudgens. Nacho break!" =)

Personally I would like to see her play the part so i can see her play a role so different from usual. but, i know not a lot of people feel that way (obviously). but maybe just give her a chance, or get some nachos.
