It wold be the "best" thing for McCain, and the worst thing for the US and the world. Let's hope it doesn't happen.

Re: McCain Drops Personal Attacks on Obama

There was an article in a British newspaper about spies who say that AQ is planning an "October Surprise" -- apparently they don't like how the election is going, know American psychology well, and are goint to shake things up, to get a leader installed who will give them what they want. Black eyes SWELL. She blogged an alibi purportedly before the attack, explaining why she was going to an ATM on the "bad side of town." Now, because she isn't seen at the ATM she intitially said she drew money out of, she has invented another story, where she got out of the car, knowing she was "on the bad side of town" (so she said) to take a walk alone in the neighborhood, when the guy saw a pin on her coat, no longer her car license plate. Thankfully, the police are onto her shenangians. She should serve time for wasting police time and taxpayer dollars, and perhaps even ruining the life of someone after she finishes her completely made-up composite sketch. There are also whackos voting for Obama, so this should not be construed as something bad for McCain, though.

Re: Poll: McCain Slipping in Arizona

Every cloud has a silver lining. For as much as I rued the election of Bush and saw right away that his case for invading Iraq was based on exagerations and distortions, George W. did manage to singlehandedly destroy the Republican party, perhaps forever. If it does survive, it will be a toned-down party, without the likes of Jesse Helms.
