Thanks for the mention Scott. My release schedule is a little haphazard as I don't seem to have discipline of Shawn, Sam, Jim, Andrew and the rest who manage to produce something every week (or every day!) I do have a few interviews lined up over the next few weeks though.

I would certainly recommend listening to all your suggestions too - they are all on my ipod at the moment :)

That's definitely an option I would find handy and was almost enough to make me switch to NetNewsWire which I think offers this as standard.

This is a great move Sam. I've become more and more frustrated with all the blogs which have cut back to a partial feeds and to me it seems to go against the whole point of RSS. I do a lot of my blog reading on my mobile on the move so it's ideal to use the mobile version of bloglines and just have text to read. If I have to actually follow through a link to the site then downloading the design & images etc takes too long at mobile speeds.

I think that in one way it's a vanity thing, people want to make sure visitors click through so that they can count them in their web stats. The most popular bloggers Seth Godin, Guy Kawasaki etc have no problem with a full RSS feed but I suspect it's possibly the smaller sites that are trying to force in a few more visitors that restrict things with a partial feed.

Anyway that's enough waffle but just to say thanks for moving to a full feed - it's a great move and I hope more people follow soon.

Some great points there. I keep getting that invisible CAPTCHA too and I also have no idea how to define my relationship with half the people I am connected to.

I think you can import your contacts without giving them the password though. Export as you suggested from google and then try the link that says "Click here if you use an email client (like Outlook) Â»" to get the option to import the contacts.

We have had some problems with releasing the sermons as podcasts so that part is a little out of date but we hope to get back on track soon.

Like you I have very limited experience of Joomla so I can't offer any advice about whether it would be better although Wordpress has been more than adequate for us.

It's a nice result to have even if it isn't a big money generator. I'm always checking how I rank for my first name too. I do well in google.co.uk but still got some work to do on the .com version!

Jim - I used to run this but I wondered if there would be a negative SEO effect because feedburner redirects the links. So if someone syndicated my feed headlines then the links all pointed to feedburner instead of direct to my site. any thoughts on this or am I just being paranoid? :)

I've considered this and paid someone via elance.com to transcribe a couple of my podcasts but I'm just not sure if it's worth paying out the money to get it done at this stage. The search engine food is my main motivation.

Thanks for taking the time to post Clarke but I almost with you hadn't ;)

You've put a reasoned argument against most of my points which proves how difficult it is to get any standard that people would agree with. These are not simple issues but is it possible to have some kind of rules that would be widely acceptable without it being reduced to something so wishy washy that it doesn't mean anything?

I was glad I managed to join in on this one and it's a really fun idea :)

I think the only thing missing was to let us know if you were enjoying the wine and would recommend it to others.

It seems fairly hard to guess a wine from a description but getting more of a feel for how much you were enjoying it (or not!) would be good.
