Yeah I suppose you are right. I think it's one of these things you get a little too attached to and I think I have to file and store every email I have ever received. It might actually be nice to just leave it all behind!

Great podcast!

I'm more and more tempted by the switch to Gmail but what did you do with your old email archives and do you often need to search through them?

jangro Thanks Fraser!

My old email is sitting still on the backup drive, so it's not terribly accessible to me right now. But that's not because of the switch to gmail. that's just because I haven't moved it over to my new drive.

It's all sitting in my Mail program. There are times I do wish I could search through it, but it's remarkably less than I would have expected. I may just leave it out of reach to force myself away from it.

And as it turns out, I think if I lost all my old email, I would survive!

Thanks for the mention Scott. My release schedule is a little haphazard as I don't seem to have discipline of Shawn, Sam, Jim, Andrew and the rest who manage to produce something every week (or every day!) I do have a few interviews lined up over the next few weeks though.

I would certainly recommend listening to all your suggestions too - they are all on my ipod at the moment :)

"your speaking is better than a large percentage of americans"

I don't know Americans but you did as well as anyone from the UK :)

You definitely don't need to worry about your speaking Vlad. Answering random questions like that proves you can speak really well.

Thanks again for your time.

I nearly didn't post as I'm just going to repeat what has been said already :-)

Firstly CostPerNews is a great place to advertise and I'm delighted to be able to do a little thing to support the great content that is produced and is making me think.

Secondly - it's just the same over here Vlad, you have one of the best affiliate marketing blogs around.

Well done Vlad :)

It's a nice result to have even if it isn't a big money generator. I'm always checking how I rank for my first name too. I do well in google.co.uk but still got some work to do on the .com version!

in When I am not doing Affiliate Marketing… on Vlad Zabblotskyy - A politically Incorrect Blogger
Hey Vlad - nice to see someone else who looks after their church website. Good job! I run the website for my church on wordpress too.

http://www.palmerstonplacechurch.com/

We have had some problems with releasing the sermons as podcasts so that part is a little out of date but we hope to get back on track soon.

Like you I have very limited experience of Joomla so I can't offer any advice about whether it would be better although Wordpress has been more than adequate for us.

Great work Scott - my only concern is if you go lots broader than affiliate marketing as the real value of the site is in the niche and that keeps it so relevant.

All the best for whatever you plan though and well done :)

in Full Text for Subscribers on Sam Harrelson's Comment Forum
This is a great move Sam. I've become more and more frustrated with all the blogs which have cut back to a partial feeds and to me it seems to go against the whole point of RSS. I do a lot of my blog reading on my mobile on the move so it's ideal to use the mobile version of bloglines and just have text to read. If I have to actually follow through a link to the site then downloading the design & images etc takes too long at mobile speeds.

I think that in one way it's a vanity thing, people want to make sure visitors click through so that they can count them in their web stats. The most popular bloggers Seth Godin, Guy Kawasaki etc have no problem with a full RSS feed but I suspect it's possibly the smaller sites that are trying to force in a few more visitors that restrict things with a partial feed.

Anyway that's enough waffle but just to say thanks for moving to a full feed - it's a great move and I hope more people follow soon.
