Thanks Dan, real cool site.

I highly recommend radioparidise.com for very fine eclectic radio. Everything from the stones to queens of the stone age.

Do you get the feeling Americans are more inclined to self-pity? Three thousand dead on 9-11? Get the fuck over it.

I know it was traumatic, but the Hollywood effect is the most salient aspect of this trauma. Compound this with leadership that can't focus on the problem and you have our present clusterfuck nation.

My thought is very few Americans have the ability to focus and put things in perspective. In WWII Germany was losing over 10x this amount of people a week for 3 years! Russia? Multiply by a hundred.

We have over two million people imprisoned in this country, 30,000 people a year being murdered by hand-guns, and another 9-11 is the big "existential" threat?

Hey Dan,

I went Bob and Barbara's last swing into Philly. When I didn't see Nate playing sax I turned to the guy next to me and said where's Nate? He looked at me and flatly said Nate's dead. I miss Nate, he was a crowd pleaser.

The Hammond player is still kicking it out though, always liked him too, drop a 5 in the bucket for me if you go and I'll by you a beer next time around. Don't fret the $3 special still lives.

Here's a little grenade thrown into this breast fondling fest.

Saw Autumn Sonata when it first came out and despised it so much I refused to see another Bergman film except by accident. Kinda like getting sick the first time you drink some putrid alcohol when you're a kid and swear off that flavor the rest of your life.

Probably the first "art" film I saw and did not like its effect. The only word I remember to describe it was "manipulative".

From the little I know about the guy he seemed to be honest to himself, that's achievement.

Stevie Wonder songs? Hate? You must pay to much attention to the lyrics. Superstition, Higher Ground, Sir Duke, Golden Lady, Another star, Master Blaster, to name a few.

Name another song writer that has produced better songs from the mid 60's up to the 80's?

Don't particularly like a lot of his lyrics either but I gotta disagree with you about the music.

The best babe band from Philly bar none--sorry Waitresses.

Funny how Gabby and Sid Vicious both got into pharmacology, Gabby on a more professional level of course, shame about the failed experiments Sid.

Let that be a lesson to you kids, music trends come and go but if you want to get into a risky industry, get some education first.
