in Wadhams speaks: ‘Our fundamental principles are pretty darn solid’ on The Colorado Independent
Couple of big problems with this interview:
1. The Statesman doesn't bother to question Wadhams on his claim that the Employee Free Choice Act would "eliminat[e] the secret (union) ballot," which is factually inaccurate and a simple repetition of a right-wing falsehood.
2. The Statesman blithely repeats Wadhams' distorted characterization of Mark Hillman as having been a "statewide elected official." While Hillman was APPOINTED to a statewide office by Gov. Owens, he never has been elected to a statewide office. He lost his run at statewide office in 2006.

in Coffman spokesman responds on rationale for voting against stimulus on The Colorado Independent
The remarks about the CBO figures were only one of the factually false or mythical claims made in the Denver Post op-ed.
Can you get the the congressman's spokesperson also to explain why Rep. Coffman claimed that ACORN would get $10 million? The bill doesn't even mention ACORN; ask him to point out specifically where it states that ACORN would get $10 million.
Please also ask the congressman's spokesperson to explain why Rep. Coffman would claim the bill's cost would amount to $275,000 per job created while omitting the myriad other aspects of the package (improvements to infrastructure, investments in public safety and education) with stimulative effects.

in Of porcines and lipstick and election season stupidity on The Colorado Independent
Actually, by picking as his running mate someone who wants to ban a woman's right to choose, ran a city administration that wanted to charge victims for rape kits and fought funding for non-abstinence sex education in public schools, Sen. McCain has made his feelings about women in this country pretty clear.

in Video depicts Code Pink protester shoved to ground, investigation launched on The Colorado Independent
Combined with what sounds like the cop shouting "Back up, bitch!" the word "sickening" doesn't even begin to describe it.
