I agree with your thoughts completely! AND CAN I JUST RANT A LITTLE HERE? I don’t make it out here often in the blog world, too busy helping people who want help! Okay, so here I go! I want to RANT about Montel, the media buzz this week, Cohen and gay activists who are mockers!

I am so tired of the ridiculous arguments put forth by people like Wayne Besen. (I agree with you, one does not have to look too far to understand that Wayne is a mocker and a very mean spirited person…). They – the gay activists, just don’t get IT, and they will not get IT(change) without their eyes being opened; sad, but true. However, we are to proclaim it for those who will hear.

The issue of change for most people in our ministries is IT – change – IS about a relationship of FAITH in a God whom no one has physically seen, but they KNOW He exists! Our rights to have faith in God are constitutionally protected! THANK GOD! He does exist and He changes hearts and lives!

Change – a different direction in life; turning or the biblical word is repent by BELIEVING… Why is it so difficult and threatening to the gay community? Could it be that there really is a God and they know it? Could it be that there really is only a few, a minority, who will actually follow Christ fully and they hate it? If they only knew who their father was in believing the lie. It is written! It has been foretold! Where? In the Bible! AND OF COURSE there are going to be people who fall back into sin and brokenness! If they only understood the beauty of the Cross of Jesus Christ, but alas that is revealed divinely as well. You have to want it. Could it be that it is very threatening in their brokenness and living in an immoral life as described by the Holy Scriptures? It only takes a 5th grade education to read it in black and white; the Scriptures are CLEAR concerning a condemnation of living in a sinful lifestyle of any kind of sexual impurity. Exodus ministries are about believing in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Gospel and the New Testament are clear about the last days… men will be mockers and lovers of themselves… lovers of pleasure. They will actually acquire teachers, even PhDs who will appeal to their appetites, their DESIRES. I will NOT be afraid to speak the good news, the Biblical truths. I will not be cornered into silence; I MUST continue to proclaim liberty and freedom through Jesus Christ our Lord even if it does seem ridiculous. Freedom and liberty is NEVER without struggle… even if it is an entire life time… SO WHAT! We were never promised a life absent of struggle! Quite the opposite ~ tribulation. I think they are ridiculous to think otherwise and so does God… HE LAUGHS! Now that is a fearful thought!

“If they hated Me they will hate you.” – Jesus Christ. Doesn’t sound like good news, but the final chapter to THE Book is great!

This really is their crisis; it is a crisis of their own FAITH. This really is NOT about having a great amount of faith. It is about having faith to begin. They do not understand, and saying they do understand, they are still blind. You really do have to feel sorry for the many who are believing “THE LIE” – “hath God really said.” (Gen 3, Rom. 1) And they mock HIM, even as they mock us who want to follow Christ fully. There is coming a day when they will become violent, calling bitter – sweet, sweet – bitter and then their sweet revenge will grow to a dark hatred and violence; the very people who preach no to hate and say tolerance!

It is unfortunate that Cohen portrays reparative therapy very goofy. I think he means well. However, it is so strange! The only thing that is remotely close to his touch therapy would be normal holy relational bonding with safe people… this is certainly beneficial to those who are touched deprived or only relate in a sexual ways to touch. This is better in the family or the community in the Church, not in therapy. I still like him; I just wish he would listen to you!

About Montel, no doubt from reading Alan’s blog it was a spiritually and an emotionally negative environment to say the least. Alan Chambers did a great job! (I sure love you guys! You are terrific!) As Exodus ministries we should be reminded to serve / minister to those who WANT help, and turn away those who do not… just like Christ, especially when they are young. I was sad about the young man’s story forced into ministry. I have found it takes YEARS to mature and fully understand root issues, and the anatomy of temptation and sin; there is always time, even if parents are grieving. We must always pray and wait.

Oh! I so wanted to ask the Ms. Abomination Lady on Montel if she has ever had a practice or known of a practice in therapy and/or counseling where there weren’t any complainers? Again, it seems ridiculous, and it was so slighted on Montel, it was so stacked against our view. OF COURSE! You are going to have people who don’t make it or follow Christ, or turn away from destructive homosexual practices or any other life destructive practices for by which someone goes to therapy. There are always going to be critics to ever practice, ministry, church or people care giving institutions! Get a grip gay community… there are those who don’t want to be gay anymore! I left homosexuality 25 years ago! There are many more people out here who have left who never testify! They are living heterosexual lives, going on in life and not looking back… PEOPLE CAN CHANGE WHATEVER THEY WANT TOO, even gender by surgery, so why not homosexuality to heterosexuality. Oh they applaud those who go through gender reassignment, as radical as it is, but condemn and mock those who embrace a change of direction in life to follow God. I thought it was ridiculous of Montel to embrace a practicing prostitute as a legitimate occupation, but scoff at ministries helping those who desire help.

Okay so this was my random rant for the month! I know it was long... will you forgive me?

Re: Wayne Besen, Richard Cohen on The Daily Show

WOW... You know and I know those girls were most-likely beat up emotionally as precious little ones... never knowing the love of father and mother being their little princess! It is heart-breaking. Yet, there is a need to hold people accountable as adults for their actions. Unfortunately when there is the "ACT-UP" it seems those in authority are stifled to do anything about it for fear of retribution or being labeled as homophobic or bigoted. How to get past this fear is certainly needed in the Church, in educational authority and civil authorities.

Brandy... I think it might be a little naive to think that freedom of speech oppression cannot happen here in the USA, especially Christian Free Speech... it is happening already.

Re: Froggie, Sheila E. It seems like there could potentially be a huge pouring out of support. I have notice that there are a lot of angry Canadians over this case. They are expecting a huge turn out when the final ruling comes down in October. For me, NOW, this is first major reason to vote for McCain - JUDGES... Judges who will be constitutionally guided and not legislate from the bench. There are a possible of three new appointees! THAT'S HUGE! We need judges who up hold the law rather than making it up as they go, like the black robe gods who have us Roe V. Wade... they should instead had been servants of God, as was originally intended by our founding forefathers.

I also like McCain's policies on security and foreign relations... especially his clear comment from Saddleback, you destroy evil, you cannot negotiate with evil as Obama would suggest.

Noticed the new direction... "REFORM" was loud and clear. Reform will be the new buzz word for the McCain campaign.

This seems like an answer to prayer for me, and many other Christians who are concerned about the direction of our country. I am looking forward to, and pray for a McCain/Palin victory to the White House on November 4th!

Re: And then Obama … and then Palin … and then and then

That's right on Randy!

Re: On Chris Fabry Live Concerning Ray Boltz “Coming Out”

Hello Brother Randy!

I am very saddened by Ray's direction. I am not surprised. However, I am grieving with the many that are affected by his direction and choice. My heart goes out to his wife, children, extended family members and fans. WOW! What a mess just one man's decision can make in this life.

It is a good minder for me, my staff and others I know who have struggled with SSA. Our choices in life will matter. I am also dealing with a personal situation with a man I used to minister to and serve who is now leading a “gay” church. Very sad situation.

It is not how we start this race / relationship with Christ that matters, but how we finish. He who overcomes will be clothed in white raiment and shall receive a crown, whom the Lord gives to those who LOVE HIM. The beginning of wisdom - the fear of the Lord, is never apart of the “gay gospel.” The teaching of covenant is foreign to most, and it is a social message. Therefore what is taught is not the gospel of Jesus Christ, but is based upon traditions of men, and doctrines of churches. There will be a great falling away of many in the days to come. The Scriptures are clear about this fact, and we should mourn; but we need to be prepared, we cannot lose heart and yet we should not be surprised any more.

I have been asked the question several times, "why! - how can this happen?"

Bottom line, (but not to be too over simplistic), this is an issue of faith and what one will believe in their core, in the secret world of their private thoughts. Faith is so ambiguous - it doesn't have handles on it. Yet it is simple.

It really is an issue of unbelief, and people embracing another message/gospel. This deception gives way when the Word of God is not implanted to save - deliver the mind / soul of a believer. We must be consecrated believers and not just mental believers. This is a relational gospel of humility and honesty that gives the believer “power” â€" grace to overcome.

This false message has teachers willing to comfort the desires of the afflicted to embrace their homosexuality. I have noticed that there is no cross or dying to self in their message. It is the believer of mental ascent, the believing of historical facts and the desire for a social group. The devil believes in Jesus. Oh yes, Satan knows Jesus well, yet the devil is not going to spend eternity with the Church. This is indeed a sad day, and I truly hope Ray, and others like him who I love dearly, come to their senses. I have already prayed for him and his family. No doubt there is a real hardening of the heart that takes place with those who once actually walked in Christian circles and then they embrace a gay gospel. It makes you wonder what kind of isolation and fantasy Ray and others live in their secret world before they actually embrace their homosexuality. I know first hand that those who I have seen fall away have another gospel message and become religious or completely give up on Christianity and become mockers. I have wept hard. I have seen this first hand several times now. There are several other key elements I have not mentioned; like the very unpopular elements of dying to self, living in transparent community and willing to live by faith regardless of feelings, but continuing to live in the enjoyment of Christ. Spiritual warfare is another subject as well; can't hardly talk about that without the mockers coming out in legions.

Thank you for stand strong! Thank you for pressing in! You are loved!

Re: On Chris Fabry Live Concerning Ray Boltz “Coming Out”

Hey brother... I just listened to the interview on my iPod on the way home. You did an excellent job. The man who called in about his wife leaving him for another woman made me cry.

The reason I mentioned so much about the distorted gospel and the last days in my last post was what I had read on Ray Boltz's site. He is seems to be embracing the gay gospel. It is so sad to actually know the TRUTH and have people fall away in deception. It truly breaks my heart. I want to help by giving some answers, perhaps to no avail out here.

Cheryl, I love that verse and believe that verse. Fortunately or unfortunately I have had the opportunity to experience a lot of personal loss and grief as well. I am thankful that the tears are being bottled up in Heaven. It will be all worth it!

I just read over some of the posts above.

Again, it is apparent that there are many people who struggle with SSA, or who have embrace homosexuality - a gay identity who are not Biblically literate and who have not enjoyed an intimate relationship with Christ to bring a revelation. It makes sense that they would not understand your position Randy. It is very sad.

Re: Political Wall of Sound: Make It Stop! … Really?

Randy, brother, Come on don't get too tired, you need material to blog about :-)

You are funny!

Re: The Economic Meltdown Timeline That Leading Democrats Don’t Want You to See

What a spin the media and what the Democrats have presented about this mess. I don't agree... term limits would bring a greater level of accountability... and that is what is needed first.

There must be a promotion of character and integrity. I cannot see another way around making sure the people of the USA can police it as voters. It is out of control in the Christless, immoral self-centered narcissistic generation. We need a sweeping Revival, so until then... we need term limits.

Re: The Economic Meltdown Timeline That Leading Democrats Don’t Want You to See

Amen sister... be the light, be the salt, evangelize and if necessary use words. :-)

Re: The Economic Meltdown Timeline That Leading Democrats Don’t Want You to See

The pressure of being accountable to voters and what a person's legacy would be while in Congress. This used to be the case when I first started my walk as a "Catholic/Baptacostal"

I find this particular subject one that seems to be very difficult for people to receive - "The Gay Gospel." This is the very subject that I believe the Father is going to have me write on in detail that will underscore the beginning of wisdom from God & His word, and compel us by the Love of His Spirit which results in an adoration of HIM in obeying Him and dying to our appetites and our flesh.

May all those who call upon the Lord work out their salvation in fear and awe of almighty God.

So here's the WORD OF THE LORD:

Ephesians 5:1-9 AMPLIFIED...
"THEREFORE BE imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father]. And walk in love, [esteeming and delighting in one another] as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us, a [a]slain offering and sacrifice to God [for you, so that it became] a sweet fragrance. But immorality (sexual vice of any kind) and all impurity of lustful, rich, wasteful living or greediness must not even be named among you, as is fitting and proper among saints, people who are consecrated to God, or people who call themselves Christians. Let there be no filthiness (obscenity, indecency) nor foolish and sinful (silly and corrupt) talk, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting or becoming; but instead voice your thankfulness [to God]. For be sure of this: that no person practicing sexual vice or impurity in thought or in life, or one who is covetous [who has lustful desire for the property of others and is greedy for gain]--for he [in effect] is an idolater--has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one delude and deceive you with empty excuses and groundless arguments [for these sins], for through these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of rebellion and disobedience. So do not associate or be sharers with them. For once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of Light [lead the lives of those native-born to the Light]. For the fruit (the effect, the product) of the Light or [c]the Spirit [consists] in every form of kindly goodness, uprightness of heart, and trueness of life."

So is it mean or unkind to merely speak the Word of God in truth and in love, especially since you want people to really be there in eternity? Learning to love God fully and love people more sincerely....

Stephen

Re: Are Gay Christians Really Saved?

The dialog here is terrific. I just wanted to chime in and say that it is good to see Joe Dallas here. I also hope to see everyone at the National Conference.

My heart goes out to those who struggle with the salvation and doubts and fears about the issue of eternal security. Very simply there is eternal security in Jesus Christ our Lord, but not in the traditions and doctrines of men. I used to have a very Baptist / Calvinistic / OSAS view of eternal security and then I started studying covenant and specifically what the Scriptures taught outside of church doctrine and traditions of men. I don't embrace the doctrines of men. Is there eternal security in Christ? Absolutely. Can someone make a choice to say NO to God? Didn't Satan? YES, I believe so. Unfortunately I came away in the beginning very frustrated dealing with all this theology, as it is not so neat and tidy in the Gospel of Jesus Christ as men like it in theological abstracts. No doubt sin is sin and we all struggle at different levels. However I found that growing in my understanding of covenant makes much more sense, i.e. New Testament(Covenant) - Old Testament(Covenant). Covenant is too big to unpack here. However, just as Jesus said: For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

There are so many more passages like this, but this is the famous John 3:16 verse that all my precious Baptist brothers and sisters like to quote since the great Billy Graham made it so famous in the American church; and Billy Graham has been communicating that he is very concerned that 80% of those who prayed prayers at his crusades are on their way to hell. Pretty bold. I wonder if that would include people propagating a gay gospel?

God will have a people to Himself, those who love and practice righteousness. I am not the judge; JESUS CHRIST IS THE JUDGE. The teaching of the Gospel is not sinless perfection, it is growing in the light and love of Jesus Christ. For those who are living a lifestyle of embracing sin, I fear for them. I don't put stock in a person's praying prayers or baptism or church membership, I put my hope and trust completely in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for my sin and hope others will, "resulting in righteousness" "bearing good fruit" "obeying the truth" as they have "called upon the Lord to be saved." Can a person struggle with sin, any type of sin, i.e. sexual in nature and be a Christian? Absolutely! There are many examples of SINNING (sexual sinning) in the Scriptures. Will there be a people who thought that Jesus was their Lord and be told by Him that He never had intimacy with them (never knew them) that they were practicers of lawlessness and sin? Matt. 7:13-27. Absolutely. Isn't interesting in studying the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ, His Gospel that conforms the true believer to godliness that He never made it about praying prayers or Church attendance? What did Jesus make a true relationship with Him about no matter your struggle? Wasn't it a total surrender to following Him fully and picking up a cross of self denial in all areas of our life? Isn't the picture through out the Gospel about consistency that brings about disciples of maturity? I think so... I long to finish this race in righteousness, therefore I run in such a way to win, not just get by... I am personally in love with Jesus and have been walking with Him for over 26 years out of homosexuality and my foundation began with the fear of the Lord and the love of God that compels me. I was very fortunate to be a part of a real God-filled revival in the early 80s that was life transforming. I will never be the same, and it was the Word of God that changed me.

"If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness, he is conceited and understands nothing; but he has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions, and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain." 1 Tim. 6:3-5. Could the idea of being religious as a means for gain be our own lusts and desires? Could it be that in the last days men will heap to themselves ministers to teach them that it is okay to live in their desires and appetites?

I know I have quoted a lot of Scripture here... I love God's word. It is what saved me. Psa. 107:20, 1 Peter 1:22-24 - I was born again not by praying prayers or going to church, but by the seed of God, the seed of Truth and the power of the Holy Spirit by faith alone in Jesus Christ in an amazing revival. Please don't get me wrong... I certainly think we start by praying prayers. My heart goes out to so many who are so Biblically illiterate in the Church in this generation as the statistics came out last week. Truly there is a famine of the Word of God as prophesied in the last days in Amos. Therefore, I feel it is the Scriptures and the study of God's word that will in fact change the hearts of men and not traditions of men and doctrines. Gay Gospel? Well it is another gospel and it is one that Paul warned us about as we cannot be perfected by the works of the law. Those who preach another gospel that does not conform to godliness, and if they believe it and live it, they really should heed Paul's warning in Gal. 1:6-10 and let the foundation of the beginning of wisdom begin in our hearts to fear God and love His commands and obey them for this is the conclusion of everything and we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. Ecc. 12:13-14.

Sincerely on the journey to love more like Jesus...
Stephen

Re: About

Randy this new blog theme is amazingly beautiful... dude you are one creative man!

Re: On Chris Fabry Live Concerning Ray Boltz "Coming Out"

Hey brother... I just listened to the interview on my iPod on the way home. You did an excellent job. The man who called in about his wife leaving him for another woman made me cry.

The reason I mentioned so much about the distorted gospel and the last days in my last post was what I had read on Ray Boltz's site. He is seems to be embracing the gay gospel. It is so sad to actually know the TRUTH and have people fall away in deception. It truly breaks my heart. I want to help by giving some answers, perhaps to no avail out here.

Cheryl, I love that verse and believe that verse. I remember having several discussions with different individuals and it seem there was a call for me to let go of Biblical integrity. It became too frustrating and there was too much strife. I remember a meeting where it was very angry in Chicago several years ago. My heart goes out to people who embrace "another gospel", one that does not conform us to godliness and abandoning a self-centered world for the better, a Christ-centered world - a Lordship Gospel. I personally believe the gay gospel is deception.

For those seeking Truth being involved as a gay in BA may be a helpful avenue to a deeper relationship with Christ, as it has been for those who started seeking God in a "gay" church and then finally surrender to Jesus as Lord. God can and does USE things, but that does not mean a stamp of His blessing on it. I just see Him longing for us and His love draws us out of darkness. What an amazing God!

Anyway...

I am glad you had a good experience and that you were able to establish a good friendship.

You just a sweetie :-)

Stephen

Re: Are Gay Christians Really Saved?

When God's word is so very clear on a subject matter; then I personally allow HIS Word to take deep root in my heart and do not allow the traditions of men, the doctrines of churches and denominations to cause clouding.

Stephen

Re: John Piper Says Minneapolis Tornado a Gentle Warning to Lutherans

QUESTION... I guess both parties mention as sources have their leanings left and right; and in between... I certainly lean right; and yet I want to lean into wisdom... so sincerely I pray... Lord, Make Us One. I am praying this for myself as well.

There is so much going on in this world of ours... I had a dream the first week of July. I was prayed over at church by a very prophetic person who asked God to speak to me in dreams. He does, or has... yet that very day during a nap, I had a shocking dream about our country. I wished I could have blamed it on watching too much Fox News; but alas; it was more. I have journaled it all; it was eerie; as it was about strife breaking loose in our country. I saw all kinds of angry people. The country was divided. I saw a map. The middle of the country was red, but not politically it was mad. I saw the east and west coasts a sleep, it was dark. In the dream I saw that it got a lot worse in our country after August. I saw much more that I cannot write, accept to pray OH GOD...
