I'm the worst meal planner ever. I'll try to come up with ideas, and start things to realize we don't have all the ingredients. We end up making quick trips to the store at least 5 times a week. And, my hubby tells me we "have the same thing all the time." He'd love some new ideas.

I get the little one to help me. Sounds awful, but he loves to clean. So, I let him have a spray bottle of water and paper towels, or he helps put laundry in the washer. That way he's too busy to make a mess, and I don't get stuck re-cleaning the house yet again.

We made all the decorations and center pieces ourselves. For centerpieces, I bought large wine glasses at the dollar store, put marbles inside, and floated flower tops in them. I found a dress for $20, on sale after prom season. It was simple, but perfect. We held our reception at my parent's house, and made the food ourselves. I think for the whole event, we spent $500. I've got lots of other ideas, feel free to let me know if you need any!

Wow, I can't imagine what they were thinking! My son got those candy stick things at the parade last night (they come in little boxes). He thought they were pills and took them all to the trash. I tried out the new post editor two weeks ago. I found it by accident. I was looking at something else in settings and saw that it was available. I like it until I learned it didn't have Spell Check. I switched back to the old post editor after that.

I always wondered what those were about. I stopped reading "join my mob family" and "join my spy ring" tweets a long time ago. I just let them sit in my inbox. I hardly ever click on links, even from people I know, because I've been taken to nudie shots and sites that give you spyware before. Thanks for the heads up.

Kreplach and Chas: You guys both have alot of
anger and sarcasm that is screaming from your posts. Bet you are both loads of fun.

Jen talked alot at the end about having "integrity".

A person with real integrity does not rip others down to build herself up. I found it disgusting the way she ripped into Sandy in the board room, telling Sandy that she walked around feeling inferior, and that she "doesn't even know what a lawyer does". It has been said that over 80% of verbal communication consists of NOT THE WORDS THAT ARE SAID, but rather, the tone and attitude
that was conveyed BEHIND THE WORDS. Jennifer was ruthlessly mean in the way she tore into Andy and Sandy. Demeaning another human being to get ahead and promote yourself is not an example of "having integrity". Jennifer may "think" she has integrity, but she sold her integrity out the instant she opened her mouth to demean another human being. I am glad she didn't win, I don't think she deserved to win, and I sure don't think she has integrity.

I was always a fan of Kelly's. He got in and led, worked hard, came up with fantastic ideas, and provided the Mosaic team with a game plan that helped them win many tasks. That software game plan that Kelly himself devised and implemented rightfully got him his many wins. When John didn't want Raj to eat the day they were selling ice cream, Kelly stepped up and made the decision that it was not right to keep Raj from eating all day, and gave Raj some money from the team to eat. That showed logic and caring.
John was just being a jerk. Kelly also showed alot of discipline, self discipline and emotional discipline. He was able to detach his work and his goals and his teammates from his emotions, thus led and was led in an unemotional manner. That is not a bad quality, by a long shot. Probably something he learned in Ranger school as well. He has a very high emotional IQ. Plus he
was very polite and showed respect to everyone on the show, even when disagreeing. He NEVER stooped as low as Jen did to try to win at the expense of degrading another contestant. I personally think he is wonderful, and that the other contestants and CEO's and Carolyn Kepcher
were all sincere with their replies that Kelly was hands down the better leader. Kelly won over 1 million candidates, and I bet he is better than one in a million. I say with all the supurb qualities he possesses, he is 1 in at least 30 million, or more. DT hit the jackpot.

I have a question...not related to curly hair :) I am expecting baby #4 in December and I am REALLY interested in giving cloth diapering a shot (for the first time I admit). So glad to see you back. I've been looking for pictures of those sweet baby girls. I'm so glad that Grayson was saved from what could have been a horrible accident and I pray that your husband is able to find his "place" soon. By the way, I wanted to say that I thought some of the anonymous commenters on your post about homeschooling were ridiculously rude...unfortunately, I'm sure, you've grown accustomed to that though. You and your husband have to do what you feel is right for your family. Although I am a public school teacher (taking time off to be "mom") and I support public schools, I am also aware that not all schools are created equal and regardless of the quality of teachers at a school, it may not be the best place for a quality education. Teachers can only do so much with what they are given (resource wise of course). I do hope though that since Grayson has been labeled as gifted, you are able to find the right kinds of resources to keep him challenged and learning at his pace. I'm sure with all of the helpful comments you received that you should be able to find the right curriculum to fit your needs.

I know what you mean about the fridge...seriously...I think little elves come and eat all the food during the night. I know it can't be my kids that are eating it all! I fill the fridge one day and within a couple of days there are empty shelves!
I love hummus and have thought about making my own but I may save myself the trouble and just buy some :)
The pictures of the girls are so cute...during diaper free time do they ever leave you any surprises? Lucy usually leaves me a puddle on the floor within seconds of having her diaper off :)
Just some random comments...by the way...some people don't have anything better to do than bring other people down...for crying out loud...maybe they should focus on their own lives and not verbally smack down innocent bystanders.

Look at those beautiful girls and those scrumptious cheeks :) Makes you want to nibble all the time I bet! Great story by the way. With my 1st I knew I was having a boy about 2 weeks after I found out I was pregnant. Just a feeling and noone could make me change my mind. The second and third times I was pregnant it was my son who told me he was having sisters. He was right!

So sorry this experience was made worse by someone who apparently had no bedside manner! Max was almost 3 when he had his first set of tubes in his ears and his adenoids removed (same surgery). I told the doctors and nurses that he would probably freak out when we left him so they were able to give him something to "relax" him. It worked...for him...John and I, not so much. I think we were the ones who needed it! Thankfully we had wonderful nurses and doctors who took Max's mind off the wagon ride to the OR. Unfortunately the recovery room was a nightmare! He was just waking up when they called us back and was screaming like they were cutting his arms off. He was trying to rip the i.v. out of his arm. They wouldn't take it out until he drank something or ate some popsicle and he wouldn't eat or drink until it was out. This lasted about 45 minutes and they had to give him a breathing treatment because he was so worked up that he started coughing like he had the croup! A year later, second set of tubes and tonsils out, same thing pre-op and post-op, except this time I was pregnant and by myself with him because John had to stay home with Abby. This past April he had third set of tubes, freaked out about taking the sedative because it tasted bad but the recovery was easier because...no i.v.!

I pray that Ozzie recovers quickly and that his poor throat feels better soon.

I agree with you on the female lawyer thing. I feel the same way with the OB/GYN. Nothing against male doctors but they can study all they want and get all the hands on experience they need but they just don't "get it" like a woman when it comes to pregnancy and birth. Good luck on finding a great lawyer and your girls are absolutely beautiful!
