in James Dobson to endorse Mike Huckabee on ETC: Everyday Thoughts Collected
Well ya' everyone has some sort of values ... it's what they place their values in that makes a world of difference. Huckabee places his within the framework of his faith through applied experience. From what I have seen of Mrs. Hillary, she places her faith in the application of power through notoriety and political answers instead of common sense.
But then, this is America, vote your conscious.

Arturo, thanks for the compliments on being sober and rational.

I have known me for 38 years 10 months and 23 days now. I have been dealing specifically with *my* identity and sexuality for around 28 years and living life beyond homosexuality for almost 15 years (July.) And after all of that time, questions, re-questioning, hearing "assessments from others" like yours (repeatedly...over and over again.) It is inescapable...

I was 100% gay and homosexuality oriented and now I am 100% not gay and the rare temptation doesn't equate to an "orientation."

People can't seem to handle the fact that I know about as much as a person can know with regard to the arguments and still choose my faith over a pro-gay worldview... still choose to live my life the way I do and call it better than the gay-centric life I used to live.

Thanks for playing Arturo but I think your looking to redefine my testimony to justify your own views.

Yes, I remember that he had that reputation among young Catholics. That's a wonderful gift.

Natalie I would agree with your statements about Richard but I don't know that I was feeling that when I wrote the post :).

You better invite me to the party. Oh...and don't invite any of my stalkers.

First, thanks for the apology and clarification. I appreciate that.

Yes I am against any thought crime laws for any reason and am not wanting to expand something that is already wrong. If we were to go down that road you might as well ad sexual orientation AND reorientation to the bill.

Currently, there aren't any hate crimes laws on the federal level (I am working on a follow up post with more on that.)

I am also working on a "What would Jesus do ..." post with regard to hate crimes.

Hi Mike, I agree but also have to take ownership as well. It's also up to Christians to remember to be about the business of the Gospel and its application in everything that we do.

We have to be relevant and meet people where they are at but our devotion to Christ should be apparent.

I agree Burke. There are some murderous, misguided and horrible people who claimed to be Christians throughout history and even some pockets around the world but nothing on such a large scale as Islamofascism and especially not in the United States.

exactly Steve. It's absolutely bizarre. Bully the easy target but get bulldozed into silence by the insanity of Islamofascism.

The KKK doesn't have a federal hate crimes law being imposed on it and the only precedent of hate crimes laws being used to stifle speech and religious liberties are when gay activists have it on the books to abuse in such a manner.

I am being completely honest and don't really care for you inferring that I am being dishonest.

And if you are trying to bait me into being against hate crimes altogether for any protected class, I have already made it clear that I am against all hate crimes laws because of all the same reasons I repeat over and over again on this blog.

I have many friends, from protected classes (who actually earned that status) who agree with me.

Well, maybe you can write about fluffy spirit cannibals? :)

I read Morrison's Tsula twice. Also, very traumatic and gets into mixing the supernatural and realism near the end. She's very compelling even though you usually need a therapist to debrief the story.

I pray your writing is blessed.

Hi Natalie, as always, it is good to see you. Thank you for being happy for me and the very nice compliment.

As for "amused" I will leave that between you and Stephen. As for "empathy" ... are you serious? I am not reading a lot of empathy into my words about Cohen. Maybe there is a definition (application?) of empathy I am not aware of :).

As for hanging out with Wayne, as long as we are talking about anything other than homosexuality, religion, politics or culture ... we get along great!

:)
