I save electricity by putting devices that constantly use electricity on a power strip. I try to plug the strip into an outlet connected to a wall switch. When I am not using the TV, Microwave, game box, etc, I make sure to turn off either the outlet strip or the wall switch. Also, the power strip has a surge protector to keep the equipment safe.
