If I don't remember wrongly, I wrote you about Rice burgers by McDonald's in Singapore. That was 3-4 years ago, maybe they excluded it from the menu since then... Though I liked it a lot.
Enjoy food as much as possible while you are there!
That's only one of 2 things you can really do there, and people live with... the second one is shopping... not your way.

you should also try Fish Head Curry + Banana Leaf Rice in one of the Indian restaurants in Little India. And drink Mango Lassi drink made from mango and sweet yoghurt! Also, try noodle shops like Noodle Express (I hope I remember it correctly).
If you go to Arab Street at Bugis, then near Sultan Mosque you can find some local Pakistani food places (I wouldn't call them as restaurants), and they serve nice dishes like Murtabak. Also, there are some nice shops there where you can find lots of oriental stuff.
If you are not already bored of tropical islands, then renting a bike and riding around small Pulau Ubin island is also interesting. It's still like a wild place, and kinda shows how Singapore looked like long time ago.

I am sure you will enjoy Jurong Bird Park very much if you enjoyed Singapore Zoo. It's also top class. And do not miss Musical Fountain in Sentosa island! It's more than what it sounds like.

And catch a show in the Esplanade theatres.

I missed that city a lot!

what's the reason behind using Viddler for your videos? You might have noticed that Flickr now provides video hosting as well, and you can upload your videos to your Flickr account. You are already using it for the photos anyway. Also, just to make it sure myself I uploaded same video to YouTube, Viddler and Flickr, and best quality was seen with Flickr Videos! Try it.

Also, not sure if you exchange links with others. If so, I'd be very glad to exchange links with your site!

I agree with the point that why we shouldn't do things like traveling around the world or just exploring new countries EARLY rather than leaving it to after retirement.

Nice story! I pretty much enjoy your posts and photos. I love traveling and photographing.
Well, I spent one year working and enjoying my life in Taiwan in 2005. It is indeed exotic country with beautiful scenery, thermal springs, friendly people, colorful and trendy youth, controversial history, high-tech life and unimaginable number of gadgets use.
Sites like Taroko Gorge, Taichung, Yang Ming Shan, Green Island offers unique views. I'd recommend to get out of Taipei to see nature of Taiwan.
I heard that they changed the naming of "Chiang Kai Shek" memorial hall and even replaced those letters on the main gate.
I was in Taipei that time when China pulled their long-range to Fujien and pointed towards Taiwan and was threatening to attack in case of independence move. Surprisingly, only politicians and newspapers were making the noise, Taiwanese people were not much bothered with it saying that China would never attempt this. And shortly Japan took US and Taiwan's side saying that "they would do whatever required to keep peace in Taiwan Straits". As I know they will have presidential elections this year, it will depend on which party will win.
As for Taipei, I enjoyed pretty much breakfast shops and other "all you can eat" places. Also there are plenty of Japanese food in Shabu Shabu, Tepanyakki and Sushi express shops. Night markets were interesting places to spend evenings at, Danshui is a nice place to escape from the city, great thermal baths near YangMingShan mountain, shopping area at Zhongshia Dunhua and nice view of the city from the top of Taipei101 or Four Animals Mountain,... so many good memories. I'd recommend you to see other parts of Taiwan and spend longer time next time you visit it.
