Or Gerard Houllier? How do you see them performing under Jol? They certainly are pressing the attack more than they did under Huub . . .

I am really looking forward to reading your blog--it's great to have quality analysis of the Bundesliga in English.

Re: die Tabelle lügen nicht! I was not really confident of their chances going into this season, but 1) they did not quit when down 2 goals on the road to Bayern; and 2) they have finally found someone, who for lack of a better term, can finish.

Re: die Tabelle lügen nicht! Hamburg/Wolfsburg - one of those down-to-the-last-day jobs
5. Bremen
6. Stuttgart
7. Frankfurt
8. Leverkusen
9. Karlsruhe
10. The EPL is very much like most American sports, in that they are pricing the common man/average Joe out of the stadia, and that has always been the sport's biggest fanbase. That the Bundesliga still has standing sections (and still sell beer) is what keeps the generations of fans coming back, and brings new ones in (like myself--I wasn't a huge Bundesliga fan until I attended a match between Hamburg and Dortmund in Hamburg. An AWESOME experience, in every sense.)
