in Extravagant Faith - A Message from Matthew 13:1-9; 18-23 on adropofwater - when enough gathers, you have to fall somewhere
There are definitely points that you list from this message that I agree with. However I don't really think that sowing the seed will look that different. Each of us has different lives, but the seed is the Good News. We are to speak the word to any, and we are not to be concerned about the outcome. I don't think that it has anything to do with who we are as people (culture, personality, etc) because the seed doesn't change based on that. It is the Good News, and sharing that alone is sowing the seed.
So praying before a game is sowing a seed, but it is not sowing the seed that is referenced here. On the other hand, telling someone about the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ would be.

in Baked Salmon + Stir Fried Vegetables on adropofwater - when enough gathers, you have to fall somewhere
Are you making these food entries because
1) you'll remember how to do it
2) others can do it too
3) show off how nice your kitchen supplies are
4) make people hungry
What part of this meal did you do and what part did your wife do?

I've enjoyed Shure's 2 year warranty, and I got a replacement when I needed one. I also had to pay the shipping to send the defective part to them.

in How to workout in your Cubicle on adropofwater - when enough gathers, you have to fall somewhere
Seriously. I also sometimes will just do some squats (without weights) to get the whole body involved. The only thing that I worry about is looking silly if somewhere were to walk by. Haha maybe too vain of me, but the thoughts cross my mind nonetheless.

in New Ipod Nano and Ipod Touch Released ! on adropofwater - when enough gathers, you have to fall somewhere
I think that I'm going to write a post about why I don't have an iPod. The slightly amusing thing is that I do have an Apple computer, though.
I'm still kind of playing a waiting game right now, though. I do think that the iPod touch/iPhone are decent products, but I'm waiting to see what other people bring to the table. I've especially got my eye on Creative before I jump to get a PMP.
Until then, I will rely on you to be the pimp...err I mean the vicarious owner of a PMP.

How far you have fallen from your days of avoiding the iPod at all costs. I remember how you bought your first one for Jenn. And now look at you. Just look at you.
Haha :P

What a far cry from the days of cans of olives. Married life has treated you well, friend.

in A Home Gym Attempt on adropofwater - when enough gathers, you have to fall somewhere
Ah I enjoy working out at home as well. However, I've been more apt to try to do as many exercises utilizing my body weight as possible. I read the advice of some coach who said that you shouldn't be using weights if you can't handle your own body weight. So I do squats (sans weights obviously), pull ups, burpees, static holds (e.g., wall sits, plank), lunges, and whatever other interesting things that I can find or make up.
While my pull up bar is cheaper (it's the GoFit one), I wish that I had tried yours. It seems much more mobile.
I also really want to get a punching bag and kettlebells someday. :)

in Google Reputation Management Disaster With Open Social on Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems Discussion
That was an awesome article (the "Scroogled" one). My my, that does paint a scary picture!
Oh and also...your page is not nearly XHTML-compliant. I mean, neither is mine but that's why I don't say that I am. Just a thought since I actually did click yours to see. I find that not too many people care about it, and only those that do would even click the link in the first place.

in Better Comments Manager - Wordpress Plugin release on Techie Buzz
I really like this plugin, but I wanted to ask/let you know that I noticed something in the latest release (1.3). When replying to a comment and manually inputting the html for a link (using the complete anchor link, text, etc), it seems to affect the creation of the first javascript link (the edit link). For some reason, it seems to choke on the addslashes function call in bcm-edit-comments.php line 175. It correctly creates the link with the comment content up until the href in the anchor tag, but then improperly outputs all subsequent comment text.
I only looked at it briefly, but I'll try to look some more and let you know.
Let me know if this is known and/or anything that I can do to help. Thanks again!

in Stuff on Paul Graham
I just thought about this as I was cleaning up. However, I did not make it expanded to all of the "stuff" that society has. Instead, I thought about the worth of the stuff as it was being thrown away in Lovely Junk Or Useful Pain.
Still many of the points are true, and I think that we could all do better if we were to throw out a little bit more.

in Akismet False Positives & Spam Karma Configuration on Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems Discussionmany of whom are young males, who spend far too much time in dark rooms lit only by the glare from their computers.
That got my attention real quick. Because that's me. Right now at 7:30 AM because I usually want to check to see that my server is still connected. :P
In any case thanks for sharing. I think that I will definitely have to take a look at this plugin later (right now all I'm doing is using Akismet because it has worked for me).
On another note, I'd like to say that even though you are generally an SEO-targeted blog, I have enjoyed that you also cover a larger number of topics, especially wordpress-related things. It spices things up and makes your blog that much more interesting.

in DoFollow | No Nofollow – Highs & Lows on Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems Discussion
Hey Andy thanks for your thoughts. I was actually thinking similar things as John was writing that blog post. I know that he's very successful and all in the blogging world, but I have found that it is fairly distasteful when he so eagerly penny pinches with his readers. I have not gone so far as to take him off of my feed reader although I'm thinking that it might happen sometime because I don't even read a lot of the entries that he writes about anymore.
In any case, I really appreciated how welcoming you were when I joined the Bumpzee DoFollow community, and I have been enjoying your posts ever since. I've most appreciated your honest and insightful opinions. Thanks!

What I mean by saying that sowing the seed might be different for individuals is that the manifestation / realization of the Kingdom of God will be different for people, but you are right, in the end the original seed grows into the same thing, the Kingdom of God, through grace, saved by Jesus' death on the cross.
Thanks for your comment though Derek. I'm really thankful that we can finally have some discourse on what I'm writing.
