When oh when will Setanta be available through cable providers?

I'm a red member and a member of Arsenal America. I saw 4 matches at Highbury last season, including the semi against Villareal and the last visit of ManU. I echo Gaffer's comments about the wisdom of joining a local supporters' club. It's a great way to get tickets and meet great people who support the same club you do.




Family obligations will keep me from getting over to the Emirates this season, but it's nice to know that I'll be able to watch my Gunners the next time I go. And, yes, I plan to keep my red membership and Arsenal America membership.

During my two trips to Arsenal last season, the price for ONE ticket was 44.50GBP (about $80). Now I know Arsenal have the highest prices in the league, and I didn't mind paying that price for the 4 home matches I saw, but there is no way i could justify a season ticket (or really even more than 8-10 matches a season) on those prices. I fear that Arsenal will have many poorly attended matches this season (particularly if our form stays the same!).

Then I guess the next question is: Is this a reliable service? Will it look like my cable tv or my tvants? That's the only real question for us cable subscribers.

Personally, I don't like this development. Getting DirecTV is simply not an option for me at this time. I would have liked to have seen Setanta get carried on more platforms before this development. I'm concerned that the EPL will lose some of its followers and potential followers because many people who would have otherwise watched on their cable systems will not make the switch to DirecTV. I could be wrong, and I'm one of those who might eventually switch to DirecTV purely because of Setanta.
