in Do bloggers need a code of conduct? on banannie
Thank you for your post, and for noting the same difference we at BlogHer see between setting transparent guidelines for community participation within our own community vs. trying to come up with a code for the entire blogosphere to theoretically follow or not.
That distinction was not drawn very clearly in the article, so I'm grateful you mention it. you can see more of our thoughts on that distinction at my blog: http://workerbeesblog.blogspot.com/2007/04/theo... , and from Lisa on a BlogHer post (in the comments): http://blogher.org/node/17887#comment-17365

Great shot. Awesome dinner is right. I'm still laughing about how I was wondering why you were being so uncharacteristically demure!!

Hey Robert, just have to point out that Day ONE of BlogHer is sold out, but Day TWO still has about 50 open seats. The schedule for Day Two is here:
http://workerbees.typepad.com/BlogHer06DayTwo_W...
(This is the second time you've mentioned it being "sold out", so I figured I should step in an clarify :)
I also found at least one site that was tracking "Web 2.0"-related conferences, but there are a lot of things it doesn't capture:
http://www.branddialogue.com/2006/05/15/web-20-...
Here's the list of what's left off the list:
"WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED: Tech-specific conferences unless they’re directly related to Web 2.0/Marketing 2.0-related (e.g., OPML Camp is included). Conferences on mobile technologies. Usability conferences. Web marketing conferences that aren’t heavily into new media/new tech (i.e., search engine optimization)."

in Who do you blog for? on odd time signatures
Hi: I don't recall seeing a category change request, and now that you mention it I don't recall seeing edit requests from ANYONE in the last 6 weeks. I think I'll check whether that notification module is even working!
Anyway, I changed you to Personal.
We were considering changing the "Personal" category to "Life" or something else that reflects something more diverse and eclectic than just personal ...which I agree does sound mostly like journaling. We're open to suggestion.

Actually last year Beth Kanter did a whole post from the conference, which was comprised of shots of people's shoes:

So if yo're weird, you're not the only one :)
