I'd love personally some help in determining which of my dozen ideas and the dozens of opportunities that present themselves each month are 'legacy-worthy'. How do you determine which can break through and win? Right now, I think it's largely guts and faith -- couple with smarts, effort and luck.

Do you know any differently?

The one thing I’m most looking forward to at the DEMO 09 conference is the opportunity to connect with entrepreneurs outside of just LA and Houston (the two cities in which I'm based).

Often times 'industry events' feature the usual suspects. Looking forward to meeting the players that make their way to the desert and actually have a real product to "DEMO."

Thanks for sharing this. Had a great convo recently with an experienced startup entrepreneur about his attempt at a game-changing category-making endeavors. He strongly suggested that big companies are incapable of disruptive innovation. So what to do?

The bottom line is that content is free to distribute now, more or less. With distribution costs at zero, the music goods will become closer and closer to free every day. So need new products around the music, and there should be no shortage of possibilities.

I’d like free tickets to Twiistup 5 because.... I applied unsuccessfully to be a show-off company at the event. Since I already paid the fee to apply, I'm not inclined to double dip pay now to attend. I still wanna feel that Twiistup love!

is there a way i can buy all these songs right now all at once? mixes like these are why the record labels should be into digital. this is the most amazing mix and has introduced me to a few artists i didn't know before.

My fave social network site is Facebook. (creative choice, right?). It allows me to stay connected with folks I know offline. And also I've gained exposure to some cool things through the feed, from people I know offline and a few friends I don't actually know (including Adam Hirsch) but have friended in order to see what they're reading and learning (and promoting).
