in Transfer Window: The Good, The Bad and The Strange on EPL Talk
I think Pennant is nothing more than a mid table prem player, therefore Pompey is about his level. As far as Marlon King goes, I hope he does well for both his sake, spent most of his time in lower leagues, and for boro's sake, as i like how they run their club and give youth a chance but I cant see that working. Mido is a wildcard but playing everyweek and with Zaki may just get the best out of him again.

in Why Stoke City Should Play There Own Game on EPL Talk
Thanks for the comment's. I dispute the fact that its the type of football people want to see. If it was then lower league games would be sold out every week. Maybe it didnt come across as such, but I was actually sticking up for Stoke(despite living in the area as a Port Vale fan). It's good to see them upset the establishment.

in Guide to English Accents of Premier League Cities on EPL Talk
Very enjoyable piece, however i would say as a resident of Stoke-On-Trent all my 23 years on this planet, that guy has totally lost his roots. Not such a bad thing though. I think it is quite easy to lose the potteries accent as its not that strong. A lot of my friends who moved away to university seemed to come back sounding totally different. Only takes a few weeks to correct though.

in Arsenal desperate for the transfer window on EPL Talk
Not sure about the midfield general. Last year Flamini was outstanding and he is hardly a destroyer. Fabregas , Hleb, Flamini and Rosicky were all great friends and that definitely helped them on the pitch. Cesc needs time to strike up an understanding with Denilson or Diaby, who in my opinion should be played in the centre. I was at the Stoke game on Saturday and it was a tough game. Arsenal were terrible and theres no way around that. But, Wenger got it wrong by not starting Walcott or Nasri as there was no-one who could go past a player, which meant they were always playing in front of Stoke and the conditions were against Arsenal, as unless you visit Stoke's ground, you cannot appreciate just how windy it is.

in Why Wigan will avoid relegation under Steve Bruce on EPL Talk
Palacios is a very good player. He was on trial at Arsenal but Wenger decided against signing him and then recommended him to Bruce. Valencia is also a great find. He could do with sorting the defence out. Bramble is a liability.

I am an Arsenal fan and had been really pleased with how Almunia has been playing but after his performance tonight id like to take back everything I wrote. Im gutted. I dont think i will ever write anything about Arsenal again

in Redknapp New Spurs Manager after Ramos Sent Packing on EPL Talk
Yeah, Adams doesn't come across that well on TV but I'm sure he would be interested in the job. Sam Allardyce is a good shout. Would be good to see them appoint a British manager. Glenn Hoddle is another whose name gets put out there as soon as a job available. Although his Southampton background may hinder any hopes getting the job.

Big Sam looks a good fit here. If Pompey can afford it.

Not sure. Could be a great chance for Tony Adams to take over. He's been involved with the club as assistant for the last couple of years and will have learnt a lot off Redknapp. Josh

Tony Adams must be the grumpiest man in football. Not sure if he's ready for primetime, but if Pompey's fortunes are as small as the papers say, Adams may be a wise choice after all.
Cheers,
