in AT&T mobile data growth still strong but leveling out | Telephony Online on Telephony Online
Myself as an unemployed contract engineer for AT&T see no change other than maybe the cell phone sector. The traditional POTS (plain old telephone service) lines are still being requested but AT&T is not hiring the extra workers they need to do the work. They are piling more and more responsibility on the existing workers therefore stressing them out to the point they are making mistakes in their work and having problems physically and psychologically. I realize they have to stay competitive with Cable Tv and other telecommunications companies, but they are falling way behind in their clients expections. they only seem to care about the big accounts like businesses that order the special high speed lines. they seem to forget who made them what they are, the ordinary home phone service customer. Customer service is a joke. They either have no idea of how to answer a customers question or just don't care because they are overworked and underpaid. I could go on and on but they know what they are doing. it's just a matter of time before they crash and burn becuase of the way they treat the average household. they also need to be more competitive in their pricing.

in Jewish Beliefs - Making Decisions And Living Life on Protekzia
Becoming aware of my independence of my circumstances....and pinpointing the interface between what happens to me and what I'm going to do about it...that is a new and heady thought and one that I will ponder deeply as I look back on my lifetime of passive living. Thank you.

in Throw Your Shoes at the Detention of Muntader al-Zaidi on The Washington Independent
al-Zaidi should be freed immediately, and given a gold medal by the billions of people around the world who would bury Bush in the shoes they would like to throw at him as well. I have a pair of Wellies, a pair of winter boots, two pairs of sneakers, four pairs of sandals, four pairs of dress shoes, a pair of slippers, and some flip-flops. That makes 14 pairs. In support of al-Zaidi's perfectly reasonable action, I symbolically throw 28 items of footwear at the same canine.

in Our 3 favorite ways to wear gladiator sandals on style observer
hmm. i cannot wear these. they make my legs look fat. thank goodness fads come and go. give a girl a good thin heeled stiletto that dips delicately to reveal a little toe cleavage and a girl looks svelte and lean. ;)
