in Mark All As Read on Get A New Browser
Funny you mention this, as I'm going through my feedreader doing that exact same thing. I definitely do that often, and figure if there's something I miss that is that big of a deal, it would come up on Twitter or something.

Wow, is there a place to be notified when this becomes available? That is the most detailed action figure I've ever seen.

Thanks for the linkage! That's good checklist you have there. I'll have to agree with Nathan, Advil will definitely be needed. I'd also recommend getting Belkins mini surge protector. I bought it a few months ago and it's very handy when traveling.

in How I use Tweetdeck to supercharge Twitter | Web Business by Ken Burbary on Web Business by Ken Burbary
Good write up Ken. As you know I'm still a big Twhirl user, mainly because the interface is more functional for my uses. But I do use Tweetdeck on and off and have liked the improvement they've made since first launching.
Two things that make a huge difference in Twhirl, that I'd like to see in Tweetdeck is updating sounds, and transparent window. What I like about Twhirl is that you get a different sound when you get Replies/DM's, and when mutli-tasking, could come in handy. The normal notification sounds becomes background noise after a while. It would also be nice to see multiple-account support, for those that have their own accounts, and business accounts.
I would also like transparency added to the window, but that's a smaller point and not a deal breaker, but one of those things I always use with certain apps. I really like the different URL shortening services available in Tweetdeck, and the groups feature is excellent. So I will keep experimenting with it and giving it more of an honest run. But I'm not ready to uninstall Twhirl just yet!

in Twitter: Unfollow me, it’s not personal on Web Business by Ken Burbary
Ken, to answer your question, no I'm not really interested in using those tools. I don't think it would change the content that I'm posting to Twitter. I'm still humbled that more than 10 people chose to follow me, so as long as I keep posting the stuff that interests me, I know some other people will be interested as well.

Very nice insight on the unfollowing, and the topic is also something I've noticed popping up lately too. My personal opinion is that I don't mind if people unfollow me, however, I rather not know about it either (like blog subscribers). I assume that if someone unfollows me, then my content is no infer relevant to them anymore, and I'm ok with that.
I don't think I'd question why though, because I assume that it's for the same reasons that Ive unfollowed people....their content became irrelevant to my interests.

I would love to try it out. I signed up for the beta awhile back and would be happy to review once I have had a chance to check it out.

This seems pretty cool actually, and for a good cause. I'm curious, though, how complex these PSD's are?

in Free Idea for Apple on Get A New Browser
I think a potential problem to this idea (which I do like) would be who profits. I know a lot of these hackers are putting out their apps for free, however, if Apple started a marketplace, I could see them charging. What happens when the developers want a cut of that profit then?

Did that one lady really say that a blog is a one way form of communication?! I think watching the news is a one way form of communication.
I think these people are just stuck in their ways, and only look to all the negative blogs to kick dirt on.

in When is enough, enough? on Get A New Browser
Yeah that is not a good thing, that just because of age they don't think they will/want to learn anything new. Anyone working on the web these days should always be willing to learn because of how fast things move.

I think I understand where you are coming from. Are these coworkers familiar with web standards and such? I guess I'm trying to understand why they don't care much about their markup.
I've worked with someone in the past who had decent markup, but didn't care to learn new stuff because it was stuck in his ways. It was frustrating to work with, and there wasn't much I could do about it.
My suggestion to you, would be to possibly organize code reviews for projects. In other words, if your team would take some time out to go over how a site was coded. That could be your chance to speak up and question their skills and make them answer questions.

in Inside Facebook on Get A New Browser
Yeah this definitely is not scary in my opinion. You choose what information you want to be on there, so it's up to the user how much information gets revealed.
I think the author of that movie is thinking too much into things. If some government company wanted information about you, they will find it whether you are on Facebook or not.

in Virb wants you to leave MySpace on Get A New Browser
I think some forget that not everyone is a designer, therefore the visual presentation pitch only goes so far. It seems like there would be too big a learning curve for customizing pages for non-designers who migrated from MySpace.

in Virb on Get A New Browser
I've been using Virb for quite some time, and though I am impressed with the visual presentation, it makes me wonder what they will have to offer that differentiates themselves from MySpace.
In other words, if I'm a power user on MySpace, why would I leave to go to Virb.

Yeah, the second gen ones might be better, but I can't wait to get rid of this phone. Always freezes, and the battery life is awful at best.

I must say that I'm just about opposite on all of your points! ha
As much as I'd like to wait for the second generation, I can't say that I have the patience to wait.
I'm also not really a PC guy, so a Mac environment on my phone would be great.
All first gen stuff has growing pains, and I hope I don't go through the hell that I've gone through with my Moto Q.
