That's what "Wall to Wall" is for. Someone posts on your wall, and you post back on their wall, and you can read the entire exchange by clicking "Wall to Wall."

in MySpace’s self-serve advertising program has been off to a promising start on VentureBeat
Maybe I'm being short-sighted here, but at 25 cents a click minimum, and sending people to myspace profiles - how can there honestly be any decent ROI there?? I'm just not getting it.

Thanks for all of the resources! I love "collections of resources" posts like these - Mashable does them a lot. They always get bookmarked! :D

in YouTube still looking for dollars: Adds ecommerce button to videos on VentureBeat
That's a smart move I think - offer people opportunities to purchase something they're clearly interested in, and it's certainly less obtrusive than pre-roll (or even post-roll) ads.

I bet ebay rss snippets would do well.

in Your intellectual property tastes delicious on Mathew's comments
So, will people have to pay royalties after they cook their family a meal, or would this be limited to professional use of the food? :D

mathewi I think eating would be fine, Melanie -- but if you refer to the food in public, you would have to pay some kind of trademark licensing fee :-)

in Google needs to mind its own business on Mathew's comments
I see your point, but there have been many a morning I wish I would have had to solve an equation before sending some very unwise drunken text messages, that's for sure. And there's a reason why there's a whole term for "drunk dialing."

I've never had a big problem with drunk emailing (no immediate gratification), but if they came out with a breathalizer for cell phones, I would probably be all over that. :D

mathewi True -- drunk dialing is a much bigger problem, I think. Just wait until Google gets its mobile VOIP working, and then maybe it will make you do math before giving you access to your ex's number :-)

That is utterly hilarious! If only my phone had the same thing. I think there should be breathalizers required for phone calls made after 2 am. :D

What I'd like to see is some way to archive chats without just having to copy and paste them and store them somewhere. Important messages get exchanged in chat, they should be archived just like messages, IMO.

I think this is great - it always brings an issue more to the forefront of the media when the powers that be attempt to suppress it. Shouldn't a professor of Journalism know that? How many people would have even heard of this story if NYU in general and the professor specifically had not tried to cover it up?
