I am my best self when giving back to my community. Like Carrie, when I listen and contribute. When I breathe deeply and live in the moment instead of churning through the mental to-do list.

Crispy, buttery, gooey grilled cheese sandwich with a really sharp cheese (Aged cheddar or gruyere), a ripe, red tomato, and avocado, with chunky, fresh tomato soup, a tall, icy glass of "arnold palmer", (half iced tea/half lemonade), a really juicy peach and a swquare of 70% dark chocolate for dessert. Eaten at a table with my fabulous husband and beautiful daughters, my closest girlfriends, and my parents, with my dog at my feet, wearing my reef flip flops.

Simple ideas to revolutionize the way people accumulate, retain and dispose of stuff: reduce reuse recycle. I am trying to do my part but everyday catch myself in the bad habits that have accumulated over a lifetime of not knowing any better and not being conscious of my impact on my environment.

Would also revolutionize the education system -- teaching kids self-esteem, emplowerment, wonderment, and to value their individuality.

Best wedding gift we got was from my brother: A home-cooked italian meal delivered in a picnic basket lined with a red-and-white checkered tablecloth and accompanied by cooking instructions for a delicious meal. With a great bottle of italian wine, a copy of the movie la dolce vida and a cd of italian opera music (which I don't usually like, but it set the ambiance). And a lovely, warm heartfelt card that went with it.

A simple, fuss free, organized filing sytem and lots of shelf space.

I recently saw a bunch of tulips, with the stems cut short, tightly bound in raffia and placed in a shallow, glass bowl. The flower was yellow and orange. Warm and inviting. A fascinating combo of the tuliips of spring and the colors of autumn.

Least favorite (per the link on flower meditation): carnations. seem too ordinary to me.
