in Top 10 Qualities of Your Next Winning Goal on The Savvy Entrepreneur
Personal is always an important factor for me. I don't think it's really possible to separate personal and professional. To some degree, yes. But what affects one will ultimately affect the other. If you're doing something that's against your morals, you wouldn't be able to concentrate on that goal very much. Unless of course, it coincides with your personal beliefs and values. I'm not saying it's impossible. Only that one of them is going to give.

in Business Slang: Top 10 Worst “-ize” Words on KnowHR Blog
You know what? I actually like the slang term supersize. I don't know about the whole operationalize term. It seems a bit overboard. It sounds like a word someone wanting to appear stuffy would use. In these times, I say simplicity is the best policy.

in Updated: Why Use Twitter When You Can Make Your Own Microblogging Network With Wordpress Prologue? on Gauravonomics Blog
Yes, it is quite similar to twitter but I wonder if this application is only limited to Wordpress bloggers. I'm not a real fan of knowing what other people are doing nor of the other way around. But I've heard a lot about twitter. This one here is a new one though...

in Blog Search Revisited – Google vs Technorati vs Techmeme on Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems Discussion
Interesting! I never noticed that Google finally has a blog search. Okay, I basically use Google News and Google Scholar but they must have blinded me from Google Blog. I suppose this means that a great and growing number of credible or popular sources are coming from blogs now. Good for Google! They really know how to move forward over there and create new ideas!

in When I was your age we had Ian Curtis on Marketing Begins At Home
Maybe she's a real fan of Heath or maybe they lead similar lives. I don't know. I was a bit surprised to learn about his death and I do feel that the entertainment industry has suffered a big loss. He was one of the most intense actors of this generation.

in Gartner warns against being stupid on The New PR
A little bit of research can go a long way. A lot of people tend to follow the trend and this also goes for many companies. Just because Company A did good at Facebook doesn’t necessarily mean the same fate for company B.

in Rapid Fire - Saturday, January 19 on Community Guy
I did hear about Mark literally moving into a furniture store a few days ago! Is his experiment over? It's always fun to learn about quirky things like this and how much there is to learn about people and businesses. I also like his Starbucks experiment although I have no idea how he managed to pull that off!

in Google’s iPhone Revamp on iPhone World
Hey! that's a great addition to the iPhone! Will it also come out for the iPod Touch? The iPhone hasn't been officially released here in the Philippines that is why I am still left hanging with my iPod touch. Anyway, It'll be a great addition to the perks of the iPhone.

in MySpace Adds Protections for Minors on Marketing Pilgrim
I think it's a pretty good move from MySpace. That way, there would be less profiles for online sexual predators to prey on. While it doesn't provide a fool-proof plan (as you said, kids can easily change their age on MySpace), it's a start.

in Gmail Search is Slowing and Google Knows… on Zoli's Blog
Although my main mail is still Yahoo, I've always admired Gmail for being able to attach files so quickly. I wonder what's causing this delay? That "still working" would sound pretty funny if only it didn't carry with it ominous implications for Gmail users.

in Resource: Get Clients Now! Answer Center on The Savvy Entrepreneur
It sounds like something worth trying at least. We need to know ourselves in order to know what points we need to improve on. Doing research and reading a lot about other people’s experiences will help you evolve significantly. You’ll be able to understand the industry a little better.

in When is an HR Program Perfect? on KnowHR Blog
They say that change is the only thing constant in this world. This is why I believe that there is no one formula for a perfect hr program. As long as it fulfills its tasks correctly and efficiently, the program is good. The program may have to change somewhere along the way but that only means it is adapting to meet its tasks.

in Lagotek Hip Home - software to control your automated home with an iPhone on iPhone World
Wow. That's a lot of features. More than I ever thought possible. Wasn't it just not too long ago when this was all just a dream? We've only ever seen this type of thing in movies. Personally, I'm not a techie person. It makes me wonder how many people would actually take the time to sync their iPhone with their home.

in Be Effective in Meetings and Use Social Media Tools on Chris Brogan
I think it's important to include announcement and status meetings in a company's routine. That way, people are constantly updated on what is happening inside or outside the company that may affect it. And I also agree that meetings should always start on time.

in Google Dictating Nofollow For ALL Links From Compensated Content on Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems Discussion
The way google monopolizes what we publish on the way is a problem now, and the problem can get worse once it takes a graver form. But I'm opting to look at a more positive side. I don't think this will go on for a long time. I believe that in the near future, google will come to its senses and shape up.

Igor The Troll Jen, I do not think so! The only way Google is going to change if Wall Street votes it unpopular! The VC's do not want to hear about Google problems. Even the US Government is in bed with Google. Google collects personal data information for US government agencies.

Look Google is dangerous!

Remember when US Department of Justice went after Microsoft and won a settlement against them for anti trust and monopoly. European Union also showed victory. We talking billions of dollars Microsoft had to pay!

Can you show us one case that Google was found guilty of Monopoly and anti trust, in any jurisdiction?

Thank you,
Igor
Clement If left unchecked, by virtue of their ever growing monopoly,Google will rule the world. The governments of the world must do something now before its too late. Some high level regulation of the Internet has to be done.

in Why isn’t Scoble against ‘thought crimes bill?’ on Scobleizer
Understanding a law entails more than merely reading the full text itself. More tha anything else, it should also be taken in the proper context. The author of the bill left many loopholes for this law. In that sense, it looks good but it doesn't really have any "meat" in it.

in Microsoft Vista Sideshow on Apple iPhone on iPhone World
This is a great addition to the ever growing popularity of the iPhone and the iPod Touch. Being able to experience a piece of windows vista in your apple device adds pizazz to what it already offers. The combination of Apple Hardware and Microsoft software is always great. If only the two companies can put their differences aside and make one gigantic project that would shock the tech industry.

Pandora snagged the People's choice and it's really, really great. Anyway, do not fret too much about the lack of promotion, there's always a next time. Connectivity problems are still pretty understandable at this day and age. At least you were able to vote on the judges' choice awards.

in Fightin on The Savvy Entrepreneur
Despite the number of bloggers on the net, it seems that not a lot of people realize the potential to earn money through blogging just yet. The idea is not widespread. I used to tell my family that I work on the Internet. It wasn't until I got paid for my work that they believed it was work.

in An HR Joke for the Small Business Owner on KnowHR Blog
Good one! I actually had to reread the last line for that one. However funny this joke is, there is a saying that all jokes are half meant. There is truth behind the humor. It reflects so many questions and so many realities of life. Which do you want to be? What value do you place upon yourself and upon what you receive as payment?

in Happy Birthday Katrina on Chris Brogan
Happy birthday to your wife then! It's amazing how a relationship blossoms. This reminds me of something I heard on a tv show once. When asked how he and his wife have managed to stay together for 35 years, all he answered was that they "know and love together."

in Best Of Ebay – Ebay Sellers Christmas Opportunity on Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems Discussion
I'm not a real big supporter of Ebay but I do think they're trying to experiment with something. And Christmas is the perfect time to launch something like that. If it soars, then they can officially make it known to the world next year. If it doesn't, it can fade away with the year.

in Celebrating seven years of blogging on Scobleizer
Seven years is a pretty long time. And when did I just start blogging again? *scratches head* Those seven years of yours, as you have so deftly summarized, have seen a lot of action. It makes me think about how much we don't know about our future. We can make lots of plans and some of them might push through... But we will never be certain of what really awaits us. Like being involved in two really big companies as you say... Being able to reflect on what has happened is a really grand way of appreciating life.
