in Yes We Can. "require" over HTTP, That Is. on Astrails - Hi End Web Technology
The synchronicity of this freaks me out. It's exactly the idea that came to me yesterday night.
The usage in my case would be for small Ruby/IRB/Rails console tricks and helpers to easily include in the development environment while keeping all them maintained at the github repository and shared between multiple projects.
I think some caching won't hurt as well (for example just cache to temporary dir, with background checks on consequent runs)

Would love to have that one in my toolbox, but it doesn't work on latest nightly build, is it supposed to work only with 6.x branch of Netbeans?

Version 0.9.3 has just been released, check it out. It works with NB 6.7beta, however you need to check by yourself if it works with nightly builds.

I've checked it somewhere at the begining of March and it was working well on 6.7 M2 version. However since then I didn't check as I use 6.5 every day. When next milestone (or final) version of 6.7 will came out I'll definitely check if OFF works on it (and make it work if not)
