Gorgeous page. Love teh textures.
Are we supposed to notice that she's repeating back "Happy Birthday" as opposed to saying "it's my birthday"? Something significant about that?

I think it's more the fact that she can understand what her mother is saying, and repeat it back to her, albeit in another language.

I have been waiting to see this. I thought it was going to be a kiss, but I suppose this probably works even better.
lol.
Oh, and I love how he looks soo resigned there. It's a tedious job, grabbin' the ladies!

When I read this page, something about the newer style was itching at the back of my mind, and I've finally placed it...do you ever read Level (webcomic) ? It's reminding me of that style. Maybe you two have a shared influence?

That movie's been on my need to watch list for ages now...I believe its priority has just been bumped up further.

I notice Zedwig's long lashes are suddenly more noticeable.

Love the sketches. Zedwig didn't really initially interest me, but now I eagerly look forward to anything to do with him!

Wait, I didn't think it was a name...I thought it was 'somebody' for elves too... which is it, Colby?!

It's a name, actually! But that would have been creative otherwise.

Do love "sum'melph" and "sorighty!"

"Soright" is an old southern term I picked up from a book years ago, and although I never say it in real life cause it sounds weird, I make my characters say it fairly regularly because I find it quaint and vaguely amusing in an American way.
