Book bloggers aren't necessarily aiming to write newspaper-like book reviews. It's ridiculous to compare blogs as a monolith to professional reviews. As for the back story, if it's a blog I follow regularly, then I'm very happy to read the back story, because I'm interested in the blogger, not just the book. Actually, if it isn't a blog I follow regularly, then I'm fine with reading back story too, it just won't mean as much to me.

Debra Hamels last blog post..Crossword: Off With Their Heads!

Re: God Is A Geek

Mac

Re: God Is A Geek

Do-Gooder

Re: TwitterLit Family Now on Identi.ca

Thank you, Marina!

Re: 2006/12/22/niche-social-networks/

Vote - LibraryThing

Re: Seth Has Something in TwttrList

The problem with TwttrList, though, is that there doesn't seem to be any way of adding tweets that are more than a couple weeks old. Unless I'm missing something. Anyone know how to add older tweets?

Re: Me and my pet Twitter

Came here because an auto-Google told me to and whew! I was getting worried there roundabout the "really stupid Twitter apps" that you hated TwitterLit. I'm glad you don't!

Re: Me and my pet Twitter

Thanks, Mark. I'm glad! And you're a LibraryThinger too. Me too (debra_hamel). We have six books in common--an interesting selection....

Re: TweetBacks Beta V.2

Well, I've been working on adding this to my blog at http://www.the-deblog.com -- which is on TypePad. I have a few questions:

1. Does the date have its own style, so that we could change its color with CSS? Likewise, does the avatar have a style so we can change its right margin?

2. I put the stats on my left sidebar. But while my two test tweetbacks show up, two also show up for a post that doesn't have any tweetbacks. So, I'm not sure what's happening there.

Re: TweetBacks Beta V.2

Oh, and one other question: after the date and time it has +0000. Is there some way to get rid of that?

Thanks!

Re: TweetBacks Beta V.2

Thanks, Chris. I see that Dan's got the date in green above, but he's probably using his widget rather than the simple script I'm using.
