in The Friday Question - Caffeinated Beverages on Pop Critics
I like a large double double coffee from Tim Hortons (double sugar double cream). You guys don't know what you are missing if you don't get Tim Horton's plain 'ole coffee. Cheap, too! Only $1.64 Canadian for a large cup, and their drivethrough window is one of the fastest setups on the planet. Other planets, I'm not so sure about, but...

Same as Sean found, I can't download the program. This looks really promising, though. I can't wait to try it. I didn't expect to find out that it was Mac compatible, but it appears to be. I will let you know if I make anything with this later.

Women, don't enlarge that much! Round isn't real. As far as I'm concerned, a little goes a long way.

I will have to look for a mac compatible timer. I usually have runaways where I work on one task for hours and forget about the rest.

I'm pretty excited about these movies. This is right up my alley. I guess we will see some of them duke it out at the box office.

daddyjason Yeah, I didn't think, at first, that it would be much of an issue that there are several in the works at the same time. However, the more they put into production the more I get the feeling that some of them are going to be directly competing with one another. It remains to be seen how different they end up.

I think she's smarter than we all give her credit for. She agreed to be in this funny video her writers came up with, didn't she?

in “Bourne 4″ On Track For 2010 on Pop Critics
I am a big fan of the trilogy and I guess I'm kind of afraid that they will ruin it, since it doesn't sound like they have much of a plan. The first three had a storyline to hold them together. It would be lame to just tack another on in the same line.

Mentioning CSI makes me worried about endlessly watching autopsies and re-enactments of horrible injuries. If it has a lot of that, I'm not interested. Hopefully the whole CSI craze will slow down a little.

Mike Olbinski Yeah, I'm totally over those CSI shows now, they've run their course.

I do love this cast though, I think it should be an interesting series.

in Successful People are Not Computer Addicts on Todds Tips
Well, I think I'm sensing a trend in your posting :)
I all depends on what your goals are I guess. If, like me, you need to replace a job that requires you to work 11 or more hours per day 6.5 days a week, and you think you can do it by setting up around 100 niche sites, you might be motivated to work a little harder than you would like to at first.
The initial six months will be hard, and then if successful give me more time with family and friends than before and on my own terms. I'll never make it to visit Hawaii working my regular job. No time!

in The Friday Question: Cartoons on Pop Critics
Why not? I am pretty comfortable in my manhood :)
Here's a quick one. There was the episode when Pee Wee & Yohan were listening to the bard singing a sad song at the castle:
"It was a dark and gloomy day,
The farmers house burned down,
The chickens and the cows grew ill,
And all the crops turned brown."
When they complained about the depressing song, he just speeded it up a little.
You must have a Superfriends quote hidden away for a rainy day....

I watched every episode of the Smurfs. I can still quote a few lines. We didn't get most of the cartoons you mentioned here in Alberta. Mostly just Bugs Bunny and Roadrunner Hour.

Frank C. mentioned Donnie Darko. I really liked that one.
My vote goes to The Matrix, Reloaded. I could watch the action scenes over and over and over.
So, once a month or so, I do. I wait till no one's around but my 17 year old son or my 11 year old, and we watch only the action scenes from the park (big Smith dogpile), mountain mansion with the medieval weapons, and the freeway. We skip all the talking and adult only stuff and go right for the bloddy action.

It seems to me that revenge is always the motivation of evil in these movies. I just don't find revenge scary, it's more a petty thing.

:) I hate to point out that Neo was Mr. Anderson, but.....

I know I'm alone on this, and I will admit in public that I liked the last Hulk movie. I just pretended it had nothing to do with the original story. True, the animation was pretty fake looking, and there were some plot issues. I still enjoyed it.

How about Impostor, the straight to DVD with Gary Sinise? I thought I had it figured out, then I second guessed, then I changed my mind and .......
More recently, War with Jason Stratham and Jet Li.
That role reversal at the end - really didn't see that one coming, but it sure explained the motivations of Jet Li's character. All along, I was thinking, what is this guy trying to do?
I'd say The Sixth Sense, but that would get repetitive :)

in Terminator Salvation hits screens on May 22nd, 2009 on Pop Critics
An alternate timeline is just as likely as an alternate universe, one which nicely ignores T3. In fact, the Sara Connor chronicles already pretty much ignore T3, don't they? I can't remember for sure, but wasn't John just 'hangin out' in T3 with no worries at the beginning? Then it must be alternate timeline or universe (or alternate writers!)
The Superman movie was okay, I guess. It would be nice if he got to fight something other than kryptonite for a change. That's where Smallville has the movies beat. The plot might be thin, but there are other superpowered non Kryptonians to interact with. The comics take place in a world full of amazing characters, just like Smallville.

in AML Movie Review: “Stardust” (2007) on Pop Critics
My kids watched the movie with me. We all loved it.
Compared to all the other adult innuendo out there in children's movies like 'The Cat In The Hat' and the cat's comments about his balls etc, I considered it pretty tame. Maybe you forget, our children get glimpses of really questionable stuff all the time. They play 'Saw' trailers on prime time, for instance. I find that much worse.
