I love the picture! Where's it from? (and if it's one you took yourself I shall have to be rather worried about your proximity to such events ^_^). I like the British topics of conversation though - people think it's weird, but it's all about shared experience. Talking about the weather etc. may seem mundane but it's very inclusive and easy for all people.

Ooooh, pretty! How did you get that picture? It's really good! Glad you had a good week off, and not working on Easter is fun (yay!) - although I'd be too scared to go on some of those rides you mentioned. We all miss you in Durham! (and I shall stop using exclamation marks soon!!!)

Wow! Those pictures are really pretty! Were they taken looking out of your window? I'm not sure I recognise the treeline in the dusk one (not that there's a treeline to recognise in the dawn one).

They're really nice pictures, David. I had a couple of ideas about the connections; colour (each picture seems to be made up of two colours) and paper (actual paper in the top-left and bottom-right pictures, and part of a tree in the bottom-left picture - but I'm not sure how the Tate would fit into that).
Have the colours been enhanced slightly on each of them? The one at the Tate is in negative, the picture of the pen seems a bit bluer than when I last saw it, the Chinese writing looks a bit more orange, and the one with the leaves looks a lot more green (especially the sky).

Wow! I love Doraemon! David, you've found a masterpiece. The balloons are great, but I'd worry about having some kind of helicopter blade in my head. There's only one point I disagree with you on - how could you find Mickey Mouse annoying? Apart from Fingermouse, the Rats of Nimh, and Jerry, he's the most intelligent rodent of them all! (though Jerry is evil, he really shouldn't pick on Tom like that).
