Since we currently board there is very little we can do to provide dramatic changes however we do what we can:
- All lights and lamps use energy efficient light globes.
- Worm farm using Can ‘O’ Worms has been established to use scraps.
- Timer in shower to reduce water usage and in times of dry weather, put containers to catch the water to garden with.
- Shop locally (eg: farmers markets) and use what we have first before buying more. I’ve always surprised myself what I can make using things in the pantry and being a little more creative!
- A few nights a week we create a romantic atmosphere by turning off the lights and using soy based candles and just talk to each other.
- Grow whatever vegetables we can in pots.
- Get to know our neighbours and form a small neighbourhood watch system.

As you can see, we do pretty much what everyone else can do, however I’d like to add that we try and laugh every day and smile more. Sometimes that is just enough to make life a little nicer. Oh, and when we have excess that we know we can't use - we share it around with others.

GAAAAAAAAAH Fundies! Sunday night, AS A CHURCH, we prayed for safety, support, guidance, cooler weather and rain etc.. ANYTHING to help these people and prayed for ways to show them they are not alone and that we pray humanity shows its graceful side in this time of need for these people (and animals!).

As a Christian, makes me cranky too.

My perfect family is no kids.. so... I'm the minority! :D

I guess change will only happen when the demand is needed. The more people that contact them and say "Well, how much for a family of x, y or z" then the operators of the establishments will realise and hopefully change their packages.

I noticed somewhere that there is this thing called a "mommy card" (I spell it with the O cause it has to be an American idea.. heh) where it's like a business card for Mum's and contact card with all the kiddies details. Very handy for promoting blogs too I'd imagine!

Then again, I cant' see why us normal folk can't have a 'personal information card' just like a business card.... hmm.. there's an idea...

Classic! There is a obvious divide between the males on F's vs H's. We have an F lover in the company who threw up a stink about us sponoring a local high school in an engineering thing cause H was a major sponsor... *le sigh*

OMG.. it's funny you say the skinny photo comment. The same people I mentioned to you on Twitter ONLY use their skinny photos. WTF?! And if you put a photo up that doesn't show them as picture perfect, they whinge until you take it down. So kinda happy they're not in my inner circle of friends anymore.
