2:31! Damn J.. that's very impressive!

Though I've just been noticing average race times recently. If I ever run a marathon, I'd be happy getting under 4 hours. What's the carry off limit for most races? 7 Hours? Ok, so realistically I'd be happy with any time if I beat the dead man's cart to the finish line.

I loved this book. It was like reading fiction of Sir Richard's life, but it was all true adventures. And it wasn't all about business and money. He seemed to focus more on the emotions and relationships of the parties involved instead of the exacting details of a transaction. The "when?", "where?" and "how?" didn't matter as much as the "who? and "why?". I've always admired the man, but I respected him a lot more after reading his journalistic autobiography.

I've read Branson's book. Genius stuff. A rebel by true standards, but one that is very good at acting on observations. Highly recommend it.

Good solid advice James. I agree with all of them. Only words of caution: good luck telling the mom-to-be tip #1. It ain't gonna happen. She'll want to read every book. Even on her second pregnancy. And she'll want you to read them too.

Good call James. Funny I was just telling my wife about Gordon Gekko last night. Our money management styles are completely different, she's winning so that means we're losing. (I'd have hired a monkey or two by now to get some of my work done.) Doubt we'll see eye to eye, but I just added Wall Street to the queue for her benefit. ;)

My story of how I met Sara is no where near the exceptional status as yours, though I still remember it vividly. I originally went to meetup and hopefully hookup with her best friend who I had been pursuing for a few weeks. That didn't work out quite as planned. ;)

And I'm totally with you. I've got a set I use that is mostly Four Tet while I'm working. Same IDT/House type feel as Blue Man Group. You gotta go with what you know or you can't tune it out.

I'm with ya. I totally need an office too. The laptop is great, but sometimes I just need to have all my shit in one place.

But I think I figured out a couple ideas for shooting some quick videos: change the setting often and frequent. I plan on shooting some vids while walking around the office, in the car, at the beach, coffee shops, etc. I'll just carry my cam around with me and shoot wherever I am. Not only will it actually get the video done (instead of waiting for the perfect opportunity, which is a flaw of mine), but it will also mix it up for viewers.

Only thing I'm trying to figure out is if I should have lead in music, titles, etc. We'll discuss over IM sometime but I think the easier and quicker it is to get a vid up, the more productive we'll be.

LMAO - I just read this post. I have to admit I'm pretty bummed that I haven't been able to jump in on this and other projects with you, but I see a good future of projects coming up!

My future at LVWC is still uncertain, but, um there is a Miami WordCamp coming up. :) I think I'll go to it to get an idea how another city throws down.

I don't think I'd be the type to tell you not to ride in with the OG girls! In fact, I think we should invite them and offer free WP workshops just for them and their "personal portfolio" sites.

Sounds like an awesome vacation so far (and I'm only half way through)! But the eagle gave me an awesome idea. Go back, setup a webcam and a satellite IP. Point it at the eagle's nest. I bet there are friggin huge eagle eggs there. They'll hatch soon and everyone will want to see. Millions of people will visit! People will think Hawk'ins is your "public" name. You'll get booked on David Letterman, bumping Jack Hanna from the schedule. You'll have drinks with effing Biff Henderson!

sigh. I blame the coffee this morning. Still, you better jump on that idea before someone else does.
