in Windows 7 on a netbook: Eee PC 1000H on Liliputing
last night i install 7 on an asus 901 with 1gig of ram.

it took about an hour to install. it woouldnt install on the 4gig partition, it needed at least 7 gigs so in stalled it on the 15 gig.

first issue, after the starting windows screen, the screen went blank. if i hit the power button twice, the screen comes back. btw, this happened the 2-3 i rebooted.

it took under 2 minutes for the screen to go blank, i assuming this is the password screen.

it took under a minute to get to desktop after typing in password.

the install missed 3 devices. the wlan, lan and unknown device. the xp drivers worked for the lan stuff. i didnt try hard to find the unknown device.

after a couple of hours i installed xp.

i just wanted to see if it was possible, it was a little too slugish to keep though.

in Asus Eee PC 900HA: Intel Atom and a 160GB hard drive on Liliputing
whats the diff between this and the ASUS Eee PC 1000HA 10-Inch Netbook (1.6 GHz Intel ATOM N270 Processor, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, XP Home, 6 Cell Battery) Fine Ebony? other than the 6 cell battery?

also do any og these have bluetooth included?

in Dell E specs leaked on Liliputing
if asus had the black 900 at the same time the white came to the US, i would of replaced my 701 (great but for the resolution), now im waiting for dell and the others to come out with their choices before i choose.

im leaning toward dell.

in Black Eee PC 900 spotted in the wild, blogosphere goes wild, I shrug on Liliputing
once you go black, you cant go back.

angryearthling i used to think the same. then i got a black maglite torch. which i dropped in the dark while it was stitched off. :-) since then i avoid black hardware. i may never have to search for a laptop in the dark but i can spot the white eee on the floor at night withour stepping on it.
