Why not embrace the horror and call it reviews.immoralmatriarch.com?

Cheers, Andrew

Re: Is it really that important to have a niche for your blog?

Hi Riayn,

interesting discussion. Thanks for the backlink :)

I think, like Will, that good writing is more important than operating within the constraints of a niche. There is this circular argument that seems to go "a lot of well known bloggers are niche bloggers, I want to be well known, therefore I need to blog within a niche". It doesn't necessarily follow.

Cheers, Andrew

Re: Google’s Gay Agenda

Good article, and thanks for the link on Plurk :)

Good on Google, and screw the rest of 'em. I hope that they close this exploit/mistake soon - it sucks that hate groups can use Facebook to harrass people who are to all intents and purposes otherwise acting within the law.

Re: Your Mission, Vision and Values Sound Like Gibberish to Employees

Hi,

do you consider all mission/vision/values statements to be like this contestant's speech?

Or just the funny ones? :)

Cheers, Andrew

Re: Google Maps Plugin Works with WordPress K2 Theme

Hi,

I have the opposite problem - this fix works for IE7 but not FireFox 2.0.0.3. For an example of it working/not, please see here.

Cheers, Andrew

[Edited link to shorten its display. --blogan]

Re: Google Maps Plugin Works with WordPress K2 Theme

Thanks blogan,

I've just seen it work in FireFox 1.5 on a friend's machine, but not on my work PC that also runs FF 2.0.0.3 - it is wierd :) I'm happy to accept that it is something in my own way of setting up FireFox that is the real issue.

I'll look into the IE 6/z-index style thing, and if anything comes of it, will pass it on here.

Cheers, Andrew

Re: Google Maps Plugin Works with WordPress K2 Theme

Hi blogan,

Scary thing - I thought it was nuts but a friend suggested updating my JRE - and now your solution works in FireFox 2.0.0.3. How this is, I do not know, I am just happy that it works now :)

I'll check back every now and then to see if there is a fix to the IE6 thing - that said, I have to say that I am pretty happy to have found a working solution for IE7/FireFox.

Thanks, Andrew
