I'm going to be giving a bit of growing for the first time this coming year. I've just moved into a house with a sizable vegetable patch so realling looking forward to giving this a go.

Thats absolutely horrible. Poor woman. I heard recently about a lady who had sent pictures of herself to her husbands mobile phone, the phone got lost and the pics ended up on the internet along with her phone number.

Needless to say she had to move etc... much stress I'm sure.

Either way I think the straight sleek look looks good for almost any occasion. It might be a little formal but smacks of class.

$77 is about 50Euros or so isn't it? That seems spot on for what your getting, baring in mind it's including the oneoff switching on fees and so forth.

One point i'd like to make is about search engines collecting information about our preferences and then presenting info based on what we've done historically. When Amazon started doing this for me when I was first using them to buy books about film producing I thought it was great. Saved a lot of time searching because it usually ushered me to where I wanted to go in the first place. Then time went on, I became totally uninterested in film producing and the preferences thing became annoying.

I still get emails from Amazon telling me about some new book which I have no interest in, and I suspect that in the not too distant future I'll be getting emails about books about military history - which I'm looking for now.

Obviously it'd be great to just press delete and you could remove that bit of the softwares memory but I have a feeling we'd all be doing this rather a lot.

I wonder how this will be handled?

I think the whole social media thing has to be reduced in size and I think over time it will be.

There will emerge a top contenter in due course, but for the meantime we'll have to put up with multipul accounts and things coming from everywhere.

I think the idea of an ID card is a great idea. There are of course lots of conspiracy theorists out there who reckon it'd be a bit like Big Brother but think of the advantages.

1 ID instead of many. (Potentially) online voting. easier movement of people around Europe and USA Canada and Australia

You got me thinking about what I've been trying to do with my own site. I have been focussed with getting up the rankings and now that is starting to happen I need to be thinking about how to get people to notice me and buy stuff.

I live in Ireland and this far north the shift for daylight saving is almost essential.

In the winter we'd be spending most of our time in the dark if we didn't shift the hour. There's precious little daylight during the winter months already, makes sense to savor it.

I read the Long Tail (book - I believe he wrote an article by the same name as well) no doubt the idea was inspirational for me. I've passed the book round a few friends as well.

But the idea that people can be "[getting something] from a superior service after giving away something inferior for free" worries me. If I understand what he's getting at properly then it all sounds like a pyramid scheme to me which is a model I have seen with frightening regularity online.
