Last night I chose to unplug early, but before I did I read your blog and as I ritually do I wrote out my thoughts.
I wanted to share them with you and your readers: http://www.faleafine.com/?p=26

in Using Social Media to Meet People on Chris Brogan
Recently emerging from my very first conference, UNCONFERENZ, surrounded by a wealth of knowledge, I realized my strength was the "social" side of social networking and social media. As I learn more, and find my way through, it's my sincere personality that connects me to others.
Researching the attendees is very important, especially for a first-timer or relatively introverted person.
Great advice as always!

I couldn't agree more, as I dive into this wonderful medium of social media and networking, I'm getting tangled by the seaweed of information. I need ease, I can't design it but I'd certainly buy into it!

I agree with everyone's perspective on comments because it's just that their perspective.
IRL as well as online, I am the type of person who needs to hear what others think about a subject, their opinions, their emotions; something other than what I think, feel about it. It helps for me to form a well-rounded, more informed decision. Because I know myself, I know that my way of thinking has its limits...I need others to help me to see it another way. Not to agree or be swayed, but to understand and appreciate that there are other ways of seeing the same thing, there are other ways of reaching a common goal.

in We really are in trouble in this country. This is just the beginning of it. on Christopher S. Penn's Awaken Your Superhero
It just irritated me to see homeowners walk into these subprime loans with pompous attitudes driving up an already expensive market in Hawaii. These same people are now whining and complaining looking for others to bail 'em out. I apologize for my lack of compassion, but ignorance is a choice.
Question: Is a debt-free, modest savings enough to weather through the pending storm?
Thank you.

in Dodgeball? Jotspot? Jaiku! on Scobleizer
JAIKU does have all the features already mentioned which makes it good for presence.
TWITTER has all of the people.
The people trumps features.
Especially since, I still have yet to receive the code to activate my phone.
Until then, I shall feed Jaiku my twitters and RSS feeds. And of course the random Jaiku to post something clever on my FB.
Thank you Scob!

in Slicing Time in a Face to Face Environment on Chris Brogan
It seems that you've created the world of a 'celebrity', without even trying. You've gotten your message across by blogging 'bout it because those that will want your attention probably subscribe as well.
How do you find balance in the perception of others, without losing balance within yourself?
Politely excusing yourself as you mentioned above.
The person that will perceive, interpret and discuss your behavior in a negative tone would have probably done it anyways even if you spent more time with them. Perhaps, just the type of individuals they already were.
It's your compassion of your passion and others that keep people in tune to Chris Brogan.
I have my own personal rule, "Not everybody loves NEENZ."

in Facebook Helps Define Your Personal Brand - Brian Solis on Social Days
SN presence is important, FB allows a lot of flexibility through 3rd party apps which is a convenience. FB is just another way of maximizing your presence, however as far as being the 'HUB' of SN, I too have to disagree and throw my support behind Ning. Ning allows control, exculsivity.
I appreciate your thoughts and hope to read more.

Chris:
Were you just at my desk? Were you in my brain and soul? As I twittered, yesterday afternoon I stepped away from the computer and wrote a "life plan." Glad to say, new goals ahead.
But, just moments before reading this blog, I promise to all the gods that I titled my blog "Epiphany." And it included the point of your blog above.
I've been so inspired lately by so many different individual sources that I needed to pause, focus and set a plan.
I appreciate the list of words, another rule that I try to apply to myself, my relationship and children is let's always remember to 'edify one another.'
Good job, and as always I'm grateful for your time.

in Twitter as Directors Commentary on Chris Brogan
Sir:
Just letting you know that it makes sense to me as do all of your blogs that I've been keeping up with.
I've noticed a few changes in some of those I follow on Twitter to be more 'informative' rather than just simply answering "What are doing?" I for one would rather have a 'contribution' to those that follow me, than just...'I'm home' even if it's letting those in Hawaii know what the traffic is like before they head out of the office to make their commute home.
MAHALO!

in Personal Scalability on Chris Brogan
It's funny that you blogged about this today as I sit in front of the screen, overwhelmed by choice. I don't want to give any of this up because it's the future, I need to and have to learn this stuff and how to incorporate it into "something."
I find myself, randomly twittering, randomly posting in forums, just consuming loads of time that I really don't have.
I too juggle a day job, two young children, etc. And while they're all supportive of my interests and passions, I know that something must "give."
The solution for me is to come up with a "business plan" for my life, you know? I won't be so structured with respect to the children and my relationship, but I have to figure out, weed out, water and cultivate.
Always an inspiration Mr. Chris Brogan!
In my observance, you've been true to what you've written, being selective...but then again, I've only been following you for a few months.
On my way to digg, del.icio.us, Dot, Ma.rker, and Techno.
