Amen to this post. It has been laughable how so many people are using race to push the argument for Burris. It's like the whole parable of the boy who cried wolf... crying racism when there is none lessens the validity when there are true instances of racism. And Burris still needs to explain how Blago went from deserving impeachment to being capable to pick a senator in a matter of days. Standing by and vouching for a dishonorable man for your own personal gain makes you dishonorable.

WOW... an entire article based on assumptions. Could you provide a source stating that Howard Dean wanted a role in Obama's administration and was subsequently overlooked? Could you provide a link proving that Obama and Dean had no meaningful conversations about Dean's role in the administration? Sure it's upsetting that Dean hasn't been as visible as many would like but this entire post is speculative dribble.

Co-sign. It's been mind blowing how black people ,especially some commentors on this board, have made this about Burris being black or somehow about Leiberman et al. This is about the fact that anyone with basic reading comprehension (or listening skills) that read/heard the transcripts of Blago's conversations about the senate seat would know that the governor is dirty and any man with integrity wouldn't have touched the situation with a 10 foot pole. Even Burris was hollering for impeachment until he discovered he could add something to his already erected monument if he played the game. And I for one am tired of all these old school black politicians playing the game. It's a new day and it's time for some new blood. It's funny how quiet all these negroes were when Obama spent the past 2 years facing some real racist BS.

If I was Obama, I would fly straight from Hawaii to DC and have someone pack up my stuff and send it to avoid the foolishness that is Chicago like the plague. This whole fiasco today was ridiculous. Burris may be a great man but no man with honor would stand side by side with Blago. As for Bobby Rush.... the entire CBC should be dismantled and all them should be thrown off the island. I appreciate the Old Guard, but the sun has set on their day.

She is a disgrace. I still think her worst ad is the one in which she recalls waiting on her grandmother's porch for the disability check and then states she's going to Washington to remind them that there are still little girls waiting on their grandmother's porch for the check.

The black tax Obama is facing is becoming ridiculous. He and everyone associated with him basically have to be perfect. I'm blown away that any black person could support McCain and the road he has chosen at this point. Self hate must be a beast.

I'm supposed to have faith in the majority of voters, 13% of whom still believe Obama is a Muslim? I'm supposed to have faith in the American voters who reelected Bush in 2004? I think the American voters have proven how little faith I should have in them and cartoons like this are surpisingly effective in swaying a lot of people especially low information voters.
