My most significant beginings have been coming closer to Christ as an adult and meeting my best friend. Little did I know at 11 that I would be frends with her to this day. My walk in christ has been a turbulent one, but its something I look forward to everyday.

I am my best when I am watching change in progress. I do a lot of work with women & children in dramatic situations of all backgrounds. When I am helping someone else learn something new for the first time in any area I feel that my devine gifts are bringing flights of growth in someone else. In those moments life tends to have purpose.

I remember checking this article out. In the Maryland area there are a number of groups of women and young minorities who are educating themselves on wine. A number of black-owned wine shops are also appearing. Sip with friends and enjoy!

After getting and gifting a copy of the book at a recent book signing I am not totally impressed. It seems as if its a carbon copy of the many motivaton books already out, but if it reaches somebody who normally wouldn't read but picks it up because its Russell, its a good thing. I agree it is very timely but it gets a C+

Ok call me a Hippie too! My love for the music & art festivals started back in high school when my family and friends used to travel to the HBCU Classic's like Circle City in Indianapolis and travel to Summerfest in Milwaukee. I have been one party going sister ever since.

Don't forget to include the best festival I ever been to: Caribana in Toronto, Canada in August! Also, check out the Taste Fest in Chicago (my fave city!), Black Expo Weekend in Indianapolis, the big Tom Joyner family reunion in Orlando, and if you just wanna wild out with no music the Bike Week in SC.

I'm actually tired of hearing about it already. There are more important issues we as a black women need to get behind with the same vigor and excitement. I also think it is interesting to point out that those girls found some flat irons and a relaxer after the incident and you didn't see not one resemblance of a curl in any press interview of them.

I agree many of my peers have gone on to get the advanced degree, mine arrives next month!!! However, unless you have the work experience the paperwork can mean little. If your not smart the debt will eat you alive.
