Could he have used a better adverb than "mumble"?  Maybe.  But I wasn't there to hear if the Governor mumbled or not. Finding new sources of readily available oil deposits will only get harder as time goes on.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Not only we must find a safe, economical alternative source of fuel for our transportation needs &amp; to heat &amp; light our homes and places of work, we need to find an equally safe and economical alternative to petro-chemicals (plastics) that we use in almost every consumer product bought &amp; sold today.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Wind &amp; solar power are great alternatives to using fossil fuels, but that is only part of the answer. Personally, I think instead of building huge wind farms and the then needed transmission lines to carry that energy to homes &amp; businesses, it would be more cost efficient and to install solar panels &amp; smaller wind turbines on individual homes &amp; businesses.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Building codes should be changed so that all new construction of residential &amp; commercial property includes the installation of wind &amp; solar power.  Also, existing homes &amp; businesses should also begin a phased retrofitted with wind &amp; solar power so that within 10 years, all buildings are off the power grid.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I think it is a viable alternative to continued dependence on coal-powered &amp; nuclear-powered power plants, which both have some serious drawbacks.
