From time to time I have had opportunity to watch a few episode of The Prisoner. Several years ago when the SciFi network aired it, I enjoyed watching The Prisoner almost in its entirety. That AMC has now made the entire series available is encouraging.
With it's sense of darkness and oppression, The Prisoner reflected well the tensions of it's Cold War era. Thoughtful and imaginative, it was also slow; given the current perchance for action via violence, one has to wonder if this series could now find much beyond a boutique audience. Still one can hope. Sincerely. Earl.
In this matter Apple's decision is rotten to the core. In contrast Warren has consistently demonstrated a fine grasp of faithfully and practically applying Christian faith to challenging social issues. In this instance his courage in speaking out is remarkable and commendable.
Cool! I remember "The chimes of Big Ben!" As a young boy I enjoyed watching "The Prisoner." Later it aired on various stations such as PBS, SciFi, etc. so I had the pleasure of watching it with a little more understanding. I now find myself giving the boxed set some serious thought.
