For awhile, I was hoping Huckabee would get the nomination, precisely because he seems to be a reasonable, genuinely decent guy. And it would have been nice, for a change, to have a Republican presidential nominee who didn't actually hate his opponent.
But anyway, props to some Republicans being reasonable.
That quote is thick with Clinton's sense of entitlement. It seems like she's saying "I've done so much more, look at who I am, I deserve to be president, not him!"
I'm convinced that a repudiation of the Bush era requires both practical policies and powerful symbols. Hillary Clinton and John Edwards, as a Beltway insider and a white Southern male respectably, don't have the latter. Obama does, and for me at least, that is a reason to support him.
