in 2008/08/14/revisiting-the-twitter-2000-video/ on Mashable - The Social Media Guide
What is it they say that the average person knows 150 people?
With that said, I think the who or why someone would follow 2,000 on Twitter is a great topic. For people using Twitter specifically for non-business social interaction I would rarely see the need for it to extend over 2,000. Maybe someone was a sales person or agent with a high volume list of contacts. I would think Ari from Entourage for example would easily break the 2,000 follow rule :) Other types of celebrity personalities or former ones might have use networks of people they know and meet on a regular basis. Then there are super social people hellbent on knowing 80,000 people and chit chatting with them non stop. I would think the main people breaking the 2,000 would be business entities (corporations or celebrity accounts) using Twitter as they want as wide a network as possible.

Great picks for Melville films. I think Shadows or Le Doulos are my favorites of his.

Noted and I've started doing this. Might have to change names to protect the innocent in some of these fest vignettes (especially if they include me). Unfortunately most of the really really good stories are stuff I can't post online or anywhere for that matter.
Since I read so many overly serious festival coverage I like posting more of the light hearted stuff that isn't serious or all prissy at this site. Just to sit back and talk in a fun way about some aspect of a festival or related story. Someone needs to put the FUN in film fest coverage! I'll continue to attempt this here.

Jason,
Love your site! I was just showing Harvey (FAB) my site and he mentioned you did some killer book on crazy Nun films. Too bad it's out of print! Definitely want to track that down someday.
Haven't seen Django yet. Looks like I'll catch it next month at Sitges though.
