I agree completely about Arsenal sans Henry. Even on the pitch, it oftentimes seem like the rest of the team is just waiting for Henry to do something. Classy as he is, he often does just that, but (and I'll probably get slammed for this) the Gunners sometimes play better team football when he isn't the focus of the attack.

Fascinating insights though I feel that perhaps Lalas and the Mexican public are united (though Lalas is undoubtedly gaming the media a bit) in a sort of myopic provincialism with respect to the English game, which undoubtedly boasts some of the better teams that money can buy - witness three of the final four in the Champion's League.


I will agree that the drop off in quality after the top four in the EPL is rather more pronounced than it is in La Liga, though perhaps not Serie A. To suggest that English teams need more Italians and Mexicans to have true quality is a bit absurd to say the least - different horses for different courses.
