in GoDaddy Offers .Me Domain Names. It’s a Big .Fail So Far. on Mashable - The Social Media Guide
I, too, view the "we'll refund when we can" policy as grossly inadequate in light of GoDaddy's failure. After all, domain registry is their core business, and they can't get that right?!
So since they've caused me headache and hassle, I'm not waiting on the refund. I'm contesting each of my five or six charges with my credit card company. GoDaddy billed me $40/pop and failed to deliver anything but an e-mail saying they screwed up. I'm going to let them have the fun of dealing with my credit card company for the next few weeks to sort it out. Perhaps if the rest of you did the same thing..... :)

Again, registering someone else's trademark is a waste of time and money. They basically just have to ask for it back and it's theirs. No need to get too excited about missing something that you couldn't have anyway!

Um...you know it's old news that registering someone else's trademark is a waste of time, right? They can just take it away from you through a pretty simple judicial action. Do the homework. It ain't 1995 anymore.

Trevor -- I'm also a holder of blogabout.me, or would be if GoDaddy wasn't corrupt. The dynadot WHOIS client is working while GoDaddy's is not. I'd buy a few more, but keep asking myself what the point would be!?!

I also successfully registered about six .ME accounts this morning. They showed up in my domain manager and everything. A couple hours later, all have been rejected/recalled/failed. No explanation. The monkeys that answer the GoDaddy phones apparently think that a refund will make me happy. I want the domain they actually sold me!
It's also VERY fishy that their WHOIS server is not responding to .ME requests, to see if in fact GoDaddy or another individual is poaching the registrations.
I believe I'll transfer my existing domains to another more trustworthy registrar tomorrow. Looks like ten years later, I'll be going back to Network Solutions. Any other reputable recommendations from you guys?
Disgusted with GoDaddy and the queer looking dude that runs it.

Says only JPEG files can be uploaded. But what about just caching to the local computer? Pros don't care about facebook and other online services -- it would just be a great way to stream to the workstation. Anyone there know? Thanks!

How about those of us that shoot in RAW? Compatible at all? I don't care about uploading to the web, but it would be awesome if I could stream straight to a workstation in the studio...
