xxx team, recently, i got a text message from someone w/ this cp no. 09064934450. The message says " The Phil. Charity Foundation informing u that ur sim no. had won Php950,000 2nd prize winner, drawn last 11/13/08, NCR/DTI #0438 PLS CALL ME NOW Im Mrs. Jenefer Ty". I know that there are many modus operandi now a days... i replied her "hu u? lam u b n pwede ktang kasuhan once i knew that ur msg false? lagot ka, bka mkapagpalit k ng sim. hahaha." she replied me "haha ka jan. gusto mo patayin kita" then later on, i used my other globe sim to call her to know who is beyond that message. i was bothered about what she said. she answered the fone. then i ask her wheter i really won that big amount. she entertained me and give me all the instructions to claim my prize. whether via lbc, bank 2 bank or personal claim. i chose personal claim. she ask me to give my complete name, age and complete address. she text me back their office address that is GMA Charity Foundation Inc. Special Project Division 3rd flr. room 301 Central Bank of the Phillipines Ermita Malate, Metro Manila. She also gve me this one - CHECK#0098124.P950000. PCI-SPD NCR DTI P-NO/000-01873 CENTRAL BANK OF MALATE. She scheduled me to claim my prize on monday nov.17, 2008 9-5pm at the said location. she requires me for something: 2 copies of birth certificate, 2 IDs, and to buy 300 worth of prepaid card to be used in PCSC (Phil Charity Security code) to identify that i am the one who will claim the prize. but she told me not to use yet because i will send the 16 digits of my prepaid card to them first. and within minutes, they will inform me to use the pin for my personal load. i keep on asking why i have to buy prepaid card. she said that our modern tech. uses nos. to make the process faster. after that conversation, i cut my connections to her. i surf to the net and type phil chrity foundation and i found an article about a text scam which was closely similar to what happened to me. i was so disappointed of being victimized by co-filipino. i just want to ask you to investigate about this matter whether it is another scam to inform many texters earlier to avoid this type of syndicate.
