I rarely use the message versions of the assertions. I use very meaningful names everywhere, I run all my tests in Eclipse where I get a clickable stack trace, I use TDD so I know what I just changed since the last test run, and I use the expected vs. actual assertions where possible. As a result, I rarely need more information. Not writing the messages reduces clutter, saves a lot of time, and requires zero maintenance of the messages!

Got it. Fought with it. Still haven't coughed up MORE cash to get a decent ripping workflow going. Software and hardware are, at best "minimalist"...without the 'simple'.

Stick with a name brand record player and sound card inputs.

The physicist in me likes the idea of focusing on reusable prescriptive knowledge. However, an interesting feedback mechanism exists between the more mundane propositional knowledge and the prescriptive stuff. Joel Mokyr does a great job explaining how these feed each other in his book "The Gifts of Athena". For me, the more experience and knowledge I gain, the more hangars I have for new stuff.

Paul Supporters I just wanted to let everyone know I am a Paul supporter mainly based on his record and financial views. I do agree with many other ones and disagree with some.

Yes, we do have some abbrasive, nutty, unproffesional, uneducated, and I am sure a few other categories. I would just like to say many of his supporters are just your regular working americans that are tired of the struggle to just barely survive. Many are worried about all types of issues especially the ones that effect them the most on which most of us vote.

I am sure every candidate has their supporters that make them cringe. I think the ones that stand out on Paul's side are a bigger focus for the fact Paul is not exactly on the big business and current establishment's best friends list.

I ask of the readers to not disregard Paul because of some of his extreme supporters, but to actually go out and find facts and history that backs him up. Just because I don't like some of the players on my favorite football team does'nt mean I should just stop liking the team. There are bad apples and different view point in every circle.

I am supporting Paul because I do think this country is on the brink of some horrifying things to come if its not addressed.

Do your own research everyone! If you research and drill for the facts and records then I have no problem with you disagreeing with supporting Paul. This is supposed to be a free country and I will respect those rights to everyone.

In the end all I hope for is a better country and Dr. Paul is the only way I can see that chance happening. (through my eyes of course)

I would love to see any code you can spare to plug Gmap2 functionality into rails. I am starting a site and would really dig a head start on getting Gmap2 involved (being that cartographer is a bit of a headache and it doesn't support gmap2).

Unfortunately, been too busy. I've been trying to get some tying in here and there, but that's about as close as I have been able to get to fishing. There are some stocked waters in the area, Passage Creek and Big Stoney near Edinburg, that are supposedly fishing well. I would like go to one of them in the next week or so. I'll post a report and maybe some pictures if I do break free.

Thanks for the comment! I really do the blog as a journal for my own use but am happy that someone finds it interesting enough to follow. I've now experienced 3 very different regions for fly fishing and like aspects of all of them.

I don't think I'll ever be a 160 fish day person. I'm just happy to be outside attempting to fly fish. It's a fun challenge for me.

I definitely plan to go for bass here in Texas. There are some monster bass in lakes in the area. Fishing for White Bass in the hill country is something I want to do soon too. I've read a lot about Carp fishing, but have only tried it once. There is even a guide in Houston that takes people out to the Bayou's in the city (sounds kinda nice, but they are really just big concrete runoff ravines) to fish for large carp. Last time I went, I had to try to stay away from people with nets trying to catch them. Not the best experience I have had.

What do you fish for in Eastern Europe? And where?

Thanks for the advice. I was told to go with wooly buggers (small) or even worm patterns and bounce along the bottom and dropoffs. I'm not sure if there are any dropoffs in this pond though.

I'm starting to see more surface activity and quite a few frogs so I may try some frog poppers.

Have you seen ActiveSMS? It also uses the same ActiveMailer pattern, but supports far more gateways than your ActionSMS. We're also using it in production at Intuit.

i have just downloaded and installed version 6.1 which is the most recent officialy for ps3. I installed it the same evening following the offical adobe ps3 installation manual. It is fairly simple and i have not found any problems yet. you will find all information at the following link. I used an american link and got a constant 500-600 kb sec, it took about 2 hrs.

Am I missing something here? The story, while inspiring sounds like Delma became a Christian yesterday, last week or last month. Hi Bill - thanks for your kind comments and for the correction about the chronology of introduction of VIX futures and options. I was also happy to see your confirmation that the SEC/CFTC regulatory split is responsible for brokerages erroneously using the VIX spot as the underlying for the options.

So the very agencies charged with obliging brokers to disseminate accurate information in fact use their power to force brokers to disseminate misinformation. So ironic, and yet so classic!
