One of the best things I have ever did was made every room in my house child friendly. I started this almost 14 years ago and I am glad I did. I do not mean safe as far as child locks everywhere. Every room in my house is comfortable for children of all ages and adults. I keep everything that may be harmful or dangerous to my kids out of the house. Fortunately it was easy for us, I guess that's why kids and parents like our home.

Oh, I am sorry I just thought about another thing I have learned. Do not stress the mess!! I used to try to be that "perfect" mom with the super clean house and 4 perfect kids and it was not fun!! I let my kids play in the living room and sometimes even jump on the couches! The biggest surprise is my house is still pretty clean and there is no "keep the house clean" stress in the air!

One of things that made parenting easier for us is to just have fun!! Our kids(4) love it when we get silly with them. And do not try to be super mom, just be the best mom you can be. I have also learned that it ok for the house to be messy sometimes, the kids don't care.

You know when I had my kids I hated all of those same questions. It always appeared like they were were writing my answers down. With my last child I had I midwife and it was the best experience ever. I wish I would have had one from the start. I am so glad you are having such a great pregnancy. And girl, get that epidural if you can. 4 times and I was not able to get one and I wish I had. Keisha has a really good idea about the shirt, it would be a cute gift for mommies!!

The infant kimono sounds adorable. As far a packing, make sure you take things that will help relax you and things to keep your busy in case your labor is long and you have to "walk" or anything like that. As far as the epidural, I never was blessed with the opportunity to have one any of the four times I was pregnant. Quite hosnestly I still feel like I am owed 3 because the last one was really easy. The breathing techniques worked for me because it was good to focus on something other than the pain. Another thing was throughout the worst part of the pain I kept thinking, this can not and will last for ever. And it didn't. Plus after looking into your baby's face for the first time you will forget all about it.

That is really impressive. It looks like a stroller my husband would love to push. But since I am not the typical mom, I would not mind pushing it myself. I like the option of the custom license plates as well as the choices that are available for upholstery.

I am obsessed with germs since I have 4 kids and when one gets sick the whole house gets sicks. I did not know about lysol on the go. Thanks . I am going to print up the coupons and stock up. I figure it would be a good idea to keep one in my car, my husband's car and my purse.

You know what, now that I think about it I know some people who have had strange addictions during pregnancy. One person who will remain nameless like to eat baking soda. Always kept a little box with her. Another nameless loved one ate cornstarch during the entire time. I did not have any strange addictions. I just feel in love with things I never ate before. Before I was pregnant with my son, I hated pizza so much. I must have eaten it only 4-5 times my entire life. When I was pregnant, I had to have it every day. And to this day I have to eat it once a week

OMG, I would benefit so much from this organizer. We have at computers and tons of passwords. At least 10 years of passwords!! There are my passwords, my hubby's, and the kids. It is so hard for me to keep track of. And of course being "mommy" I need to keep up with everyone's passwords. It is just not for sites I visit for fun but passwords for our bills since 99.9% of them are paid online. It is a great idea to have all the passwords in one centralized location.

Ok, what does mommyhood mean to me? Sometimes it is so hard to put into words. It definitely is the hardest job in the world but also the most rewarding. Mommyhood is unconditional love. When I became a mom I learned what really is important. Family. My kids come first and I love experiencing life through their eyes. Everything is so simple and beautiful. Aww Sheena,
You have not failed at anything.Just take your time. Rest when you need to , eat when you need to, blog when you want to and enjoy Jayden. We miss you but we understand. There is no need to try to do everything all at once. If you don't feel like cooking or cleaning, don't. Your health and Jayden are the most important things right now. Like Gina says, you will wish that he was that small again. Time goes by so fast with kids. Just remember any emotions you feel are normal and it is okay. And if you ever need to talk or rant, we are here for you :)

Good for you two enjoying your visit with family and catching up on some sleep. Your picture looks adorable. Jayden just gets cuter by the day. All my kids had baby acne and a lot of thngs were the cause of it. The main causes were the kisses, everyone was kissing his fat little cheeks constantly. His skin was just too sensitive , especially to the different things people have on their lip (gloss, lipstick, or chapstick). One of the big things was people touching his face a lot. It was really hard to get people to not do that because when you are holding a baby in your arms and you are looking at him you feel like you just have to rub their cute little face! Also when other people were holding him I had them hold him in one of his blankets because I wasn't sure if he was allergic to what they washed their clothes in. Hope I wasn't rambling too much. Btw, I co-slept with all my kids and they are just fine.

He is looking really good. You know when I was working at a doctor's office my compliments were always honest. If I saw an adorable baby I would say so. I tried to find something nice to say to parents when they came in. I agree with Gina. All babies are not cute but I would never tell a parent that. Of course Jayden is super cute and I am not saying that just because Jayden is my son's middle name.

Awww, Jayden looks so happy and content. He is getting so big!!I used to hate when my kids were babies and got shots. I think I cried more than them. Except for my youngest, she never cried once during shots. I wish you good luck finding a new doctor when you move, that decision can be really tough.

This question is so funny! I have thought about this a million times and have actually discussed it with my hubby. I never breast fed but the line became blurred for me. It seemed like once I thought of them as a "food source" it would be hard for me think about them the other way. But life is teaching me so much I think if I was to have a baby now, I would breast feed and appreciate the "extra" in the sack. I love how Greg says "paying special attention" to the milk jugs with skin. Just too funny!

You touched upon some really great points. I try to do all my shopping from clearance and sales racks throughout the year. It comes down to thinking ahead. I can't wait to try out Coupon Chief. That sounds like a really good program. My kids love Marshalls. My hubby found my son some Reeboks that he liked for only $17. Today I went to K-Mart and I found all types of clothes on sale with an additional 40% off. I was able to get lots of shirts for only $1.80! When I start seeing seeing clearance signs I start to think about what gifts I need for who. Thanks for a really great post.

It is a toss up between bananas and strawberries. I guess I would have to pick the bananas because my hubby puts them in his special banana pudding which I just love to death.

This was fun to read. Sheena my hubby is the same way with socks. We have been together 17 years and it has not changed,lol. Plus I give you props for "pooting" in front of Greg or going number 2 around him. I just can't do it. For some reason it is stuck in my head that boys should not know girls do that. I am not sure why though because I am far from being a girly, girl. Greg I am just like Sheena. I love HGTV. It always gets me in the mood to do some remodeling. I mean if they can do it in a weekend, why can't we? Ha, Ha.

First let me say how jealous I am of how clean your living room looks. Mine is so cluttered and messy. Those couches look so comfy!! I think the rug should stay. I like the color. I have the makeover bug myself. My husband is trying to talk me out of repainting (everywhere), lol. I love the coffee table in the first pic. Looks really sturdy plus a some storage underneath. I like the bamboo bookcase too. It is so weird that you are talking about the chocolate sofa. I was looking at curtains yesterday and fell in love with the whole chocoate color. No lie!! I figured it would be a good color for a house full of kids. I totally think $500 is a good budget and can not wait to see what you do with it.

The walls look a little warmer. I love the little chair for Jayden. I had one for my kids that reclined. The credenza looks nice and sturdy. How is the storage inside? Roomy? I really like those lamps. I love how you are going the way of no clutter. I can't wait to see how it turns out.
