I'm slightly worried now! If they expected us to 8th in 2008 and 4th in 2012. As Team GB came 4th in 2008 are we now expected to come 2nd?!

Great performance from all the athletes though even if - as the Aussies put it - we "well at sports when we're sitting down"!

It is indeed a shame that it wasn't an all English final in the Champions League.

Despite being female I like to think I know a little about football and having watched Man U's second leg against AC Milan, I don't think I've seen a worse bit of football since the Paul Robinson own goal debacle ;)

I'm terrible when it comes to trying new productivity tools. I've lost count of the money I've wasted on Software, hardware, subscriptions and equipment all for it to be tossed to one side when the "next big thing" comes along.

I sometimes wonder if we think that it's the tool that will solve our productivity issues rather than the actual process of using it? It's like the holy grail of productivty, we think if we find that one tool it'll change our lives forever when infact it's us that really needs to change!

Since I've gone back to a simple paper system and left the hi-tech gizmos behind I feel a lot happier (as I haven't wasted money) and because of that, my productivity increased!

I would say that Tea-time is still very important in the UK, my Dad and I still sit down at 5pm with a nice cuppa on a Sunday - minus the Cucumber sandwiches though!

I find even a 5 minute break whilst waiting for the kettle to boil can get the old creative "juices" flowing again if I've been stuck in a rut.

Although being a programmer I tend to drink coffee at work ;)

I know it doesn't look as pretty as quicksilver but for the PC, I find SlickRun (www.bayden.com/SlickRun/) invaluable.

SlickRun sits on your screen and you can launch programs or multiple programs in a few keystrokes, it'll also look up words in an online dictionary or search the web.

I use QuickSilver on my Mac but find SlickRun a lot better to use.

I use something similar. I send myself an email with the subject "@Action: [Action needed]" and when it hit's my inbox it gets automatically sent to my "To Do" folder, Labelled as an "Action" item and brought up in my Smart Search folder. That way I can see what needs to be done at a glance without having to wade through loads of emails or bits of Paper.

I used to stick to "The Dave's" context structure religiously however being a web developer too I found I had 200 items on my @computer list and maybe one on my @phone. I tried creating my own "contexts" based on the actual projects I was working on which made sense to me however this felt like I was using GTD "Incorrectly" so I gave this option up after a while.

What I do now is just note everything down in my Moleskine as it comes to me. I put an letter next to it as to whether it's a work thing (W) or home thing (P) and then these have their own sub-categories such as "E" for email, "P" for Phone etc. With these also goes a little icon to show if it's an action, I'm waiting for it or it's been deferred. To be honest I'm finding it a lot easier to work through my list in this way as I can now pick and choose an action and also look at the list and see what I have the "energy" for.

Plus there's something really satisfying about looking through the long, long list and seeing so many items crossed off!

I hesitated about adsense on my site, put it on and didn't make any money, took it off and then put it back on again. I make hardly anything but hey, if it covers just my hosting costs then that's a bonus.

Just make sure you write good content so that you get targetted ads and you'll be laughing!

At least you gave your interviewees a computer. All of the technical tests I've done had to be handwritten on a piece of paper.
