in Ever wonder how meth use runs full circle in a family? on Some Chick's Blog
Thanks for publishing my story. Seeing it out here for the world to see is kind of strange and makes me feel a bit vulnerable, but I hope that it can help someone else. If just ONE person stops using, or never picks up in the first place, then the pain I have endured as both a user and a victim of other users has served a purpose - it has saved a life.

in Ooooh Meth …Mmmm Meth on Some Chick's Blog
I remember seeing this on TV.
If I remember correctly, I almost fell off the couch from laughing so hard. It rings true, though.

You know, these things were actually pretty tasty. I wish they'd redesign the packaging or something, because I really liked them, but can totally see how a kid might pick up a baggie at a park and shove it in their mouth on mistake. Or how a parent or police officer could mistake a little box of breath fresheners for a little box of baggies.

Thank you for sharing your story, Yoko.
I started using at a young age, too. I had trouble finding my 'place' at meetings because so many were older than me, and thought that I wasn't 'really' an addict because of my age. But, we both know that addiction and the suffering that goes along with it don't care how old you are. To addiction, fifteen is the same as fifty.
Congratulations on your year. It only gets easier from here. You must always remember that pain, though, never let it escape you. Complacency is dangerous for an addict.

That's true ... I never see the jaw thing mentioned. I used to chew gum frantically, I bit chunks of my cheek out on numerous occasions on accident. And I could always tell when my ex was high because the muscles in his jaw would jerk, like he was clenching and un-clenching. It's such an obvious sign, almost every tweeker does it.
