hehe pau, malay is the first language that comes to mind when we meet fellow malaysians abroad!

ahah. i always sucked at maths. i had to have loads of help from besties for maths, cram in logics and formulae last minute, and pass my exams, and forget everything about it the moment i step out of the exam hall. (so far my maths, till matriculation level, has always been an A though. how i do it i don't know, baffles me still.) i don't even remember how to solve simple sine and cosine and tangent and integration problems now. let alone stuff like what you're doing now.

that's why i'm doing medicine :P and yay finals tomorrow and i'll never finish studying +.+||| why am i still here wtf.

hello pau, it's so nice to read your happy posts. gives me good vibes! me super stressed now. am so stressed that i have no appetite for the many selections of mooncakes i have in me hostel and also the uber padat chocolatey brownie in the fridge :( i got assessment tomorrow! wish me luck all the way from NY k. if i pass then i finish all the mooncakes and brownies on your behalf haha.

i totally understand what you had to say about the education system. but thankfully for me i had an english tuition teacher who practically showed me what i could be besides the meek spoonfed kid of the traditional system. she taught me one of the most precious lessons in life: always speak up for the truth, speak up for those who can't do so, speak up for yourself, because if you don't do so, nobody will do it for you.

and now that i'm in university and the lecturers are expected us to learn "the adult way". with critical thinking and problem based learning and learning through seeing and tagging along and doing. and then when we don't give them the results they had expected, they blame us for being not proavtive enough. sometimes i just want to tell them, the blame is not entirely on us, look at how we were brought up by the system.

anyway, yea, am glad you're happy there :)

hello pink, it's been a while since i've left a comment. ever since i read your pangkor laut post it has always been on my mind as "the perfect place for a couple's getaway." and now reading you write about hong kong makes it "the place i want to go for a shop-and-eat vacation"!

sigh. and reading your description for char siew paus made me kempunan for one now :(

i wish you nothing but the best in life. if there ever was a love that i wanted to model mine after, it would be this. but then again every relationship is unique in its own sense. i am still searching for mine.

there's this old chinese line in one of the famous poems that roughly translates as "if this love is meant to be for long, then some separation will do it no harm."

su ann thanks for writing this review, 'cause if not then i wouldn't have went to watch the movie, and i would've missed out on one of the bestest movies i've ever watched! i loved the dialogues, i loved the wit, i loved the acting, and i loved the scenes, and oh i just can't stop raving about it to my friends now.

i haven't watched the movie yet. in fact, i've never really been a fan of superhero movies. i can't even remember when was the last time i watched a batman/superman/spiderman movie =.=||| but since your review made it so positively glowing, i guess i could give it a try and watch it :)

hallmark cards have the best messages ever. but they're so pricey :( i used to handmake my own cards back then, i even had a trademark flower i'd draw behind them, like real copyright liddat! haha.

same here. more than half of us stood up against a very condescending teacher when he actually had the nerve to tell my monitor that she had "kurang ajar dari keluarga". and on numerous other times we had been to the VP's office to complain about some thing or other.

i slept throughout school. primary, seconday, matriculation. and yes even throughout the first two years of medical school. i think i've told you that before.

some teachers hated me. but also there were those who loved me. as long as there are people out there who can appreciate, treasure and love us weirdos, who cares? i love being atypical.

three cheers for the ones who didn't/don't fit in!
