in Blogging Insurance & Quoting the Associated Press on Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems Discussion
This creates an interesting debate on the content of news itself. While you can technically be charged for copyright infringement if you copy directly what someone writes, but if you offer a recap along the lines of slashdot.org, it is personalized content, just rephrased and linking to the original.

Ultimately you shouldn't be hindered for citing someone else's news seeing as how news shouldn't be controlled, as well as if you properly cite them.

in When Will It Hit Us? on Gothic Peach
I don't think America will come up with a plan at this point in time. We have far more "important" things to be concerned with, like fighting 2 wars, an election, raising gas prices, and the decrease in the value of the American dollar. Also, we need a new euphemism for the issue of obesity, something that detracts from the issue at hand.

Ultimately, the decision to do something will be on the individual. I've noticed that I've been gaining some weight. The fact that I am in front of a computer for 12 hours a day is probably the cause. My goal, now that its summer, is to start hitting the pool at first on the weekends, and then on any day when I get off work early enough.

in Why build your own computer? - Bull3t's Blog on Bull3t's Blog
My only issue right now with building a computer is the whole Vista fiasco. Microsoft is trying to push testing on Windows 7 as soon as possible, and this makes me very weary of Vista. Why pay for a $300 system when in a year, they may have a new, better version out. Granted the same can be said of computers in general, but an OS is an important consideration.

People can be fooled easy about all sorts of get rich quick schemes. You've given some great advice and resources . Hopefully people will see that it's not so easy to run a site/blog and make money from it unless you but work into it. Thanks for the great content provided at the end.

in Thinking Green on How To Split An Atom
While I'm glad the electric car is making a come back (especially with regular at over $3.50 a gallon), at a reasonable price, the lack of an infrastructure as you stated, and the 65 mph max speed are a bit of a put off.

Hopefully this will cause a resurgence in the market for these vehicles, and we'll see some competition with a better top speed show up.
