You don't need a molecule by molecule simulation. It only needs to meet human perceptual resolution, which is much more achievable than the level you're talking about.

In the end, I just think it's more fun to pretend it's all real, whatever that means, especially since I doubt if anything can be done about it otherwise.

If either of those are disturbing to you, why don't you just change the goddamn channel like you would if a steamy scene came up, instead of blaming your lack of parental responsibility on the poor animator?"

Cooler, but nothing but trouble. From a business perspective, having minors use your website that enables free expression is just not worth the trouble. Completely with you on the conference though, that is just 'tarded.

Robert, this has happened before (Yahoogroups was blocked for a week)and It's more to do with incompetence than real censorship (of which Inida suffers a lot, but not on the net). The most likely reason is that a petty bureaucrat didn't understand the concept of subdomains. This too shall pass.

@Brian Sullivan: Try the Opera browser's small-screen mode. It simulates the Opera browser available for most java running mobile phones.

Tejas, do tell me who represents Google in the blogosphere, especially someone who's leaving would make them look bad?

@Tejas: People have been moving in and out MS for 20-something years. The visibility of the people involved doesn't really make a huge difference, except perhaps in recruiting. 2-3 people in a company of tens of thousands quit, and it turns into a big deal ? Only in the blogosphere.

@Hasan: Yeah, it must be that. Because, MS obviously doesn't have the cash.

@Scoble: Yes, and I (sometimes) meet Salesforce people who turned down jobs at Google. Weird? Maybe. But no one talks about them either. I won't say it's a Google conspiracy, but the blogosphere is quite enchanted by them.

Personas break pretty badly when applied to apps which are intended for hundreds of thousands of users. We need new visualization methods backed by good real world data.
