This song really ministers to the spirit. I downloaded some Marvin last year on iTunes and "One" is a favorite.

Marvin has some good advice towards the end, about talking in the mirror and encouraging ourselves. Try it! I've done it often and it really helps.

Road rage in my city this weekend...a 69-year-old grandmother killed by suspects who also shot the grandchild too over a minor traffic accident. Disturbing.

I feel your burden and the source of your questions. I've been in situations in and out of church that call for a time of seclusion to heal and/or leaning solely on Jesus. Nevertheless, it's important that we reconnect with the Body of Christ in some form and with perfect timing.

This post is so revealing and the tender parts exposed. I pray that God will send the right laborers in your direction so that you may begin to trust and feel safe again. I pray that you are called to a place of celebration of God and its members, and where unity and true love abides.

God knows your heart and will mend the broken pieces. Be open to His plan and take His hand. Remember Church is inside you, and wherever you go bring Him with you!

Ditto on being without the PC. It was an investment when I bought my first one in 1999. Now it's a lifeline!

On the kid who had a fatal accident. Kids, even adults are taking risks. I'm sorry this one ended in a fatality. Sad. It's a loss of life that could have been avoided. Now Six Flags will have to do more. They are not totally to blame, but now we see the possibility of what could happen. I hear a lawsuit in the near future.

Everyone is given free will and living in America gives us the added freedom to live out those choices, some that are beneficial, and others that are not.

Abortion is not a solution in my belief, as there are other alternatives that leave baby and mama whole -- nothing missing and nothing broken.

1. Anthony Hamilton certainly has soul! He's raw and vulnerable in his music. I believe that what connects him to the hearer. He reminds me of Marvin Gaye and I'm not sure why. Perhaps it's the depth of his soul and willingness to share it.

5. I think Obama was being a true gentleman; it's too bad it wasn't reciprocated.

4. Watching a series? It's been years since I had that opportunity. I remember the Thorn Birds from 1983 with Richard Chamberlain, Rachel Ward.
